I am in the process of making this rn. Update 1: the pasta is still not done yet Final Update: it turned out ok 👌 but you need salt, more paprika, and more pepper powder in it to make it fire 🔥

I’m trying the recipe right now and I actually worked really well

Ingredients: 4 cups of milk 12 ounces of macaroni noodles 7 ounces of cheddar cheese Directions: 1 On medium heat, bring the milk to a low boil while stirring 2 mix in the macaroni and let them absorb the milk for about 15 minutes 3 mix in the cheese and stir 4 consume the food

I’ve tried this and while it’s good, it’s starchy. It also took forever for my milk to boil(I cook a lot of food when I do cook though). My favorite way so far is to just cover the noodles with water, boil, drain, cover with condensed milk, cook till thickened, add cheese and salt and it’s amazing.

WAIT GUYS PLEASE DEAR GOD READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE THIS! Make sure your cheese isn’t already pre shredded or cut because they put a powder on the cheese to stop it from sticking to the other shreds and pieces. Shred your own cheese for the love of god. If you don’t then the cheese won’t stick right to the pasta and won’t become a good amazing melty cheesy sauce it will just kind of melt like plastic on your noodles and that’s just sad

Exactly. Preshredded cheese has potato starch used to keep it from sticking to itself which then prevents it from binding with the pasta when melted.

This recipe actually looks alright. If you want a nicer Mac and cheese, although this recipe is more complicated and time consuming. Boil a pot of water and put the pasta in. Let it cook there for a couple of minutes and then remove it. Put a lid on and it will continue cooking. Add a small chunk of butter and about the same amount in flour to a separate pan. Let it cook for a minute or two so it doesn’t taste like raw flour. Add about half a teaspoon of mustard powder and mix it in. You should now have a thick paste. Slowly pour in a bit of milk and mix. Repeat this a few times. Add pepper. Add your preferred amount of cheese. Let it mix in. Add the pasta. You now have max and cheese. If you want, you can put it in a baking dish, add some breadcrumbs on top and bake it for a bit for a bit of extra crunch.

My aunt does this but with different cheeses then after she cooks it she puts it in a pan and puts bare cheese on the top and puts it in the oven till the cheese on the top goes crispy it’s sooooooo good
