Living Like Larry yes, it really frustrates me the way most cooking videos waste so much around the bowl. I know it’s probably just because they don’t want to add boring time of the viewers just watching them scrape the bowl but don’t like that kind of senseless wastage and it literally is only a few seconds

This reminds me of working in a donut shop when I was in high school. At the end of the day, we'd bring all of the leftover donuts to the back. All of the donuts that had chocolate in them or on them were thrown into the big Hobart mixer. We'd turn on the mixer and add enough chocolate glaze to create a cohesive mass. That mass would be pressed into a big sheet pan and covered with more chocolate glaze. Voila! Brownies! Oddly, those sold out every single time we made them!

@@noahmadrigal162 I don't know what Nutter Butters are, but about Oreos: When cookies touch milk they're supposed to get soft. Cereal is expected to stay crunchy after being introduced in milk (or the other way around. don't bother me with that drama). Making a hybrid of the two is easy but having it catch on is decidedly hard. I'm happy if it tastes the same. I mean, I'm certainly not gonna ask for a cereal that's tiny assorted cookies if they're going to melt away after more than 15 seconds in milk. [note: I've never had Oreos cereal. they don't sell it where I live. likely never will.]

A drippy chocolate ganache frosting would have really topped that cake off I. Terms of presentation!

Mint is definitely powerful. When I worked at Starbucks we had downtime one day and tried the barista version of a “suicide” drink(like you do as a kid at the soda machine). Out of ALL the flavours in that cup it mostly just tasted like *really* sugary peppermint!

At least you ate some. They don't even exist here in Chile. I know I would love the Thin Mints. And the Lemonades/Lemon-Ups. And likely the Shortbreads as well. Maybe the Tagalongs. The Samoas/Caramel DeLites probably not. See that? I haven't even tried them so I don't know for sure!

Looks nice, I would’ve perhaps topped it with some cream cheese frosting and some more blitzed cookies a top of that, just for added pizzazz.

The UK calls those biscuits not cookies but yep steamed cake is pudding but every dessert is called pudding in the UK lol

I love how enthusiastic you are eating it when it turns out good! I also love how if you mess up, you show it! Not many do that!

That's amazing! I never knew cookies could make into other cooking recipies. I tried using oreo cookies to make a special cookies-and-cream cake, and even though it didn't turn out well, I still was glad that I tried something new to bake the world never seen or heard about.

The best way to go about making a cookies and cream cake is to do a no bake or baked cheesecake, and use the cookies gor the crumb base and incorporate the cream and some whole oreos crushed and semi crushed up, into the batter. Or you can do a freezer box cake and use either homemade or store bought whipped cream or the whipped cream mixed with creamcheese to give it a stonger base, layer whole cookies into a bowl crush up some more whole cookies and mix with the whipped cream. Theres a video on tastys youtube that is easy to follow and was done by Alix. Both version are delish. You could also made a fridge cake with whipped cream and graham crackers and add fruit into the layers. Theres also videos and recipes for that way too. Hope it helps and good luck on your future endeavors!

Imagine buying a bajillion girl scout cookies so that you can blend and jar the dry ingredients in cookie cake mix so that whenever you want through the year til the next girl scout season you can make a cookie cake by just adding milk! You could have just your favourite flavour cookie or seperate them all by type likw a lemon and coconut one and a rich sugary one like toffee caramal kind and have a chocolatey one and oooo you woulsnt even need to be girl scout cookies you could legit for those of us who dont live in america with said cookies can grab our favourite biscuits and do the same!!! 😍😍😍 damn ill habe to keep these in mind for special occasions when im baking for kids etc. I feel like this would be very much something theyd love. And the steamed cakes are great for those with sensitive teeth or dentures etc like elderly or younger kids more like a steamed sticky toffee pud at chrissy.

In Australia we make a cake called a choc ripple cake. It uses choc ripple biscuits which are a hard chocolate (not choc coated) biscuit which is sandwiched together with whipped cream in a log shape. Then you leave it in the fridge overnight and slice on a diagonal to get a striped pattern inside. Very common for Christmas lunch

My stomach turned sour when the cookie slop splurched from the bowl into the pan. I guess I'd have to like girl scout cookies to enjoy this recipe, the more for you I guess.
