3 HUGE Differences Between HBOT and EWOT

Watch this video to discover 3 huge differences between HBOT and EWOT.

EWOT is NOT HBOT.
A lot of people think they’re getting the same benefits of HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) when they do EWOT (exercise with oxygen therapy), but this is not the case.
Now I’m not against EWOT…I think it’s a great therapy! But it does not do what HBOT can do.
There are 3 primary differences between them, and that’s what we’ll be discussing in this video.

    EWOT is amazing , 20 years of excruciating headaches with over 10,000 Advil taken to stop the pain ( yes 10,000). Built an EWOT system with a spin bike o2 concentrator then after 3 treatments no more headaches and no more Advil .

    OxyHelp already does this. I am planning to get one of their multiplace chambers in the next 6 months and will be putting exercise equipment inside like the X3 bar by John Jaquish or put an anchor point for the Ancore device. I can't wait to try this! If you get the bike or rower you might not be able to fit as many seats 😑 that's why I am looking at the other attachments/options...

    Dear Dr. Jason Sonner, I note you state that only HBOT can get oxygen into the blood plasma and that EWOT cannot. I am looking at the two systems with great interest. I see that Dr. von Ardenne's research on the subject of oxygen therapy is quite detailed and impressive. By 1981, he had done more than 10,000 measurements of blood oxygen in patients and had proven the remarkable reactivity of the body to an increase in blood oxygen. And that he maintained oxygen would be increased within the blood plasma (Also by implication as the red blood cells could not take a significant more than their typical saturation, but fantastic therapeutic results) Since his time we have moved on and with the use of a oxygen reservoir bag this therapy is now much more powerful as a systemic regeneration and healing therapy. Over 50 L a minute or as much as 100 L/min can now be breathed during a typical 15 minutes exercise session. Please could you address this apparent conflict of information. Best regards, I much appreciate your work and educational videos, John Claydon D.Hom

    LiveO2 uses a 900L bag you fill before exercise. You can theoretically breath in the entire 900L in just 15 minutes during exercise. Whereas a typical O2 concentrator at 10L per minute would give you 150L in 15 minutes. Once the RBCs are saturated, the added oxygen spills over into the plasma. A properly setup EWOT system can be just as beneficial as HBOT considering the individual is healthy enough to exercise. However, they both have their disadvantages, and HBOT is the significant cost for each session. BTW, I hold a PhD and have trained in sports medicine and functional medicine for some 30 years now and have worked with thousands of patients using EWOT over the last decade and we have significant data that proves how beneficial it can be. We also have data using HBOT which is very beneficial as well, especially for our elderly patients or someone who cannot exercise. Take care!

    Thank you Dr. Sonners for all the information you are sharing with the public. Because of a life long history of health problems i have been looking into Hyperbaric Oxygen and even tried one session just to see how it felt. While considering a soft chamber a question came up concerning the use of pure oxygen. Are the lungs the only way to deliver oxygen into the body or does the skin assist in the process? If the permeability of the skin does not allow it to absorb oxygen, why fill the chamber with pure oxygen? Could I fill the chamber with purified air and use scuba diving gear to deliver pure oxygen into the body?

  • @HBOTUSA

    @HBOTUSA

    9 ай бұрын

    Good question! No, your skin does not absorb oxygen. Most chambers in a hospital setting are pressurized with oxygen because of a few reasons. The buildings are often already equipped with oxygen delivery systems, so it's easy to hook the chambers into the existing infrastructure. It also allows them to control the % of oxygen with certainty, so when protocols dictate a specific % of oxygen, they can be sure they're breathing the correct %. But most clinics that use HBOT in the way that I discuss on this channel (off-label) use chambers that are pressurized with regular air, and all soft chambers are also pressurized with regular air. There's a serious safety concern (risk of fire) when the % of oxygen of the ambient air within the chamber rises, so we do not recommend adding concentrated oxygen directly into the chamber. Breathing concentrated oxygen through a mask is safest and most effective way to increase your oxygen absorption while in a hyperbaric chamber (that’s pressurized with air).
