Just a friendly piece of advice, those in the northern parts of Appalachia (New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and into parts of West Virginia) often pronounce it Appalayshuh, but central and southern Appalachia, south of those states/areas, they pronounce it Appalatcha. I grew up in the Palmetto State coastal/low country, but travelled our upcountry in the Blue Ridge all throughout my youth, eventually moving to Eastern Tennessee for a while, and some of those folks take their Appalachian pronunciation seriously. Wish you safe travels and tight lines!

Carry a wooden spoon with you and put ot across the top in place of the cover. Then add your crawdads. That should prevent boil-over of the boiling water in your pot. That's what I do when boiling my spaghetti and it works! Maybe a barkless stick will do the same. I never tried it. So, I can't promise you it works as good as a wooden spoon. But, it might be worth a try???

We went to Colorado one summer and found a hot spring that the locals knew of. We stopped in and there were several people but there was plenty of pools to enjoy. We had vacuumed sealed meals for our trip in a cooler so I pulled out our breakfast that had fried eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausage. I had the bright idea to warm up our meal by using the hot spring straight from where it trickled out. It was hot and ready in 10 minutes. Everyone was so amazed that we had the idea to do that and now gave others the idea to do that next time. It was a good time and I miss Colorado.

Hi Ace love your channel. I live in the NC mountain foothills A town called Columbus Im a better then average fisherman for my entire life. Im goint to give you a couple of helpful tips First? Up the road from me is a fella named Ricky He is considered the best trout fisherman in these parts He ..for years..has used one spinner all the same only different weights! It si Panther Martins Black with gold specs and gold blades! Ive seen him in action many times...and it works ! I use a lure made be Rebel! Its there dreen and orange Floating Crawdad lure ! It works as well as Rickys only I learned years ago to remeove the two treble hooks on the smaller version and put one single hook with the hook pointing up and goint between the split in the tail section. Cast it up stream in a fast current and let it float down to the pool and then tug it so it dives! It is so real looking. In bigger rivers? Use the bigger size...not to mention? Its my go to bass lure as well! My second tip is go up towards Black Mountain aaaaaaaaaand rive beside Wilson Creek! Mainly stockers but the if your ready for a little 40 minute hike? Gon up to the Daniel Boone Trail and hike in to Little Wison Creek Deep water with ten pound native browns and many native Rainbows Single barbless hook only but very few walk in there as its pretty steep comming back out. One last..if your into hiking is on the Green River Go in on upward Road and look for the trail on the right after turning right on the gravel road headed back in there to the place called The Narrows. Do Not go in the summer! Unless you have a love for Copperhead Snakes But? Expect a video spectackle of some of the best looking water you will ever see! With 30 feet deep pools quite often and five pound trout a plenty> A mile above the Narrows? Is flat factory stocked waters but prolly a third of the get washed into tThe Narrows to live out their lives! The Narrows is like a mile and a half long...with a thousand foot elevation drop. A handful of pro only Kayakers have just in the past fifteen years started running the narrows and got it rated like a class five Rapid I met the like number three rated in the world years ago. The guy to first run it and whom got it rated Three weeks later ? He died after a rain had washed a tree into one of the super steep runs between pools and he got lodged under it. Peole have fallen into the narrows while fishing and some didnt make it out One can walk beside this river traversing big boulder most of the way. It would make a killer video no doubt. Never ! Go in there alone Ricky and I hiki ed in there for a contest between his Panther Martins and my Rebel Crawdad We ended the day even with seven over fifteen inch each...Plus Its Barely into North Carolina going up Hwy 26 Got a boat? Go to the most beautiful and deep lake in the south called Lake Jocassee My fav

Rock stacking in forests and on mountains could mislead hikers off trail and lead to dangerous results. Rock stacking can be detrimental to the sensitive ecosystems of rivers and streams. Moving rocks from the river displaces important ecosystem structure for fish and aquatic invertebrates.

Hey bro. I had a male and female crayfish the red ones they used to call California lobsters. 😂they both were in a ten gallon tank and they ended up mating and I had a hollow rock the female hid in and I thought she had gotten out but she was in there and I took her out to check and she had tons of eggs under her tail. So when the time came when she started having the babies I took the male out so they could grow and then had to take the mom out too I was feeding them frozen brine shrimp. It was her favorite to eat it was very fun to watch them grow up and then I also had a 200 gallon tank and transferred them into that one. I should have started a crayfish farm but I had no land to do it. But it was fun.

As a kid I remember a story of one of my moms hippie friends. She went to a party in the 70's at some hot spring. In the morning when the pool was clear of people. She jumped in and when she popped up, she was covered in pubes. 🤣
