I said earlier this was the best Rose Bowl ever but I stand corrected USC v Texas was the best namely Vince Young running it in the end zone on 4th down very late in the 4th quarter Amazing Texas won as USC RBs Reggie Bush and LenDale White pounded the ball down their throat all game long

That was Oklahoma's year to win the national title, no doubt. As a Sooners fan, it was a heartbreaking ending, but what a game.

Georgia's halftime adjustments has got to be up there with the best of all time. Coming out and holding Mayfield and that OU offense to just 7 after the half is nothing short of amazing.

I'm not a Georgia fan, but even 4 years later, I still enjoy coming back and watching the highlights of this game. It never gets old. I'm happy Georgia finally got over the hump. Along with all the NFL talent, Bennett and others who were red-shirt freshmen at the time are now seniors.

I still get sick watching this, this was our year to win it all, up 31-14 and Lincoln Riley got conservative and it cost us. Hell of a game tho, best playoff game ever, won’t be topped for awhile either. Anytime I see the rose bowl I get reminded of this all time classic. Look forward to many more SEC battles with yall!

Big1G is 8 and 0 in bowl games. What was pac12......... 1-9 AND 0-3 vs Big 10. Utah beat WVU. All other PAC12 teams LOST. Worst ever for a power 5 conference. Hell I bet UCF could whoop any PAC 12 team out there. UCF 13-0 ONLY Undefeated Team in FBS.

This was the best Bowl game this year hands down. I thought I would have to go to the ER for chest pains when Georgia tied the game up with less than a minute left in regulation!! Great game OU. Can't take anything away from your team or Baker Mayfield. Can't be any prouder for my Bulldogs though!! How Bout Them Dawgs!!!!!

Atlanta native here. That was one hell of a game, best Rose Bowl EVER. Oklahoma played great, all Sooners fans should feel proud for getting this far. And last year's Rose Bowl was just as awesome!!! Though Georgia isn't my Alma Mater, I'll be rooting for the home team. GO DAWGS!!! ROOF ROOF ROOF!!! Go for gold!!!!

I went to Columbus State, which is part of the University System of Georgia along with UGA. Columbus was right on the AL/GA border and about 45 minutes from Auburn. But I have many high schools buddies and coworkers that went to UGA. I'll be rooting for my UGA brethren. And I'll say it right this time. WOOF WOOF WOOF!

I am a Georgia fan and have been my whole life. I have never seen Georgia go to a national title. My first experience with Uga football started in the Ray goof years. I was there in 2010 when we went 6-7, I was there 2012 when we blew our greatest chance to make the Natty, I was there when Alabama embarrassed us twice on our own turf ( 2015, 2008). And now I am here to see them go to the Natty. This is what is so great about cfb, being a fan during the Goff years of 7-6 seasons and now going to the Natty. It's a beautiful thing. Hopefully we can pull it out.

Wow what a game I followed Jake Fromm out of high school and now as a freshman he's taking his team to the championship. Nick and Sony are two headed beast I'm rooting for GA in the championship.

Thank you Oklahoma and Georgia for a great game.

2021, but no sore losing from us. We both had NFL players on our roster but it was y’all that took the victory. Sad, OKU wasn’t selected in over a team of Ohio weirdos that played 5 games but complained for their conference to change rules. Would have been a great rematch.(Edit:this year)

One of top 5 best games ive seen in my lifetime. This was fun to watch, neither fan of the teams but wanted Baker to get the win. Props to Georgia for winning, this is why i love College Football.

And UGA beats OU 54-48 in double overtime!!! Amazing work by OU, but How Bout Them DAWGS!!!! And UGA basically play a home game for the college football national championship!!!

Come back and watch this every now and again, one of the best Georgia games of all time

We were supposed to leave New Jersey back to Georgia that night for a 16 hour drive but this game was more important. So glad we stayed, end had me in tears!

Bro this game meant so much to me. Me and a group of friends were watching it together and when Sony scored the game winner me and my buddy were kind of jumping around high fiving each other and we both simultaneously looked at each other with our mouths open and tears in our eyes realizing that we both used to always watch old Georgia games with Herschel and listening to Larry Munson call the games… we both realized right then this was the first time we were gonna see Georgia in a natty since before we were born. It was a crazy feeling. Fuck that national championship game. This was worth losing it. I believe we’ll win one this year. Go Dawgs!!!

Watching this a couple years later and it's insane how many nfl players are on this field

This by far was the greatest playoff game ever. Every other playoff game has been a blowout and not fun to watch.

thejazzmusician you’re opinion it’s the most exciting! But Texas-USC is at the top. If anything, this game would be a top 5 or top 3 for sure.

Nick Chubb is such a beast you have two guys trying to tackle him and he breaks it and takes it another 45 yards for a touchdown

I see a resemblance with Nick Chubb and Herschel Walker....anybody else?

Lorenzo White nah Chubb not as powerful. Best comparison is Maurice Jones drew. Both of them are like a bowling ball

You're probably just a hater because your team didn't make the Superbowl. Besides, 25 points is not a lot for 25 minutes. Plus, not our fault we lost coin toss; it was 50/50. NFL should use college overtime rules.

There has been an all SEC women's basketball championship game (South Carolina vs. Mississippi State). There has been an all SEC baseball World Series (Florida vs. LSU). Now, there is an all SEC football national championship game (Alabama vs. Georgia).

Crazy to think it’s been 2 years since this went down. This game will forever be remembered 🔥🔥🔥

No. That’s Texas-USC.

This is first time I rewatched these highlights since watching that day 2 years ago. As an OU fan, was just too freakin upsetting to watch. I remember thinking after the Parker fumble recovery and TD, that IT WAS OUR YEAR. Oh how quickly my emotions changed :(

Yeah how on earth do we lose when we literally beat them in every stat besides the running game🤦‍♂️. Also yeah after that scoop N score with Parker we should have won considering our defense forced a punt right after. That loss was totally on Riley.

Jake Fromm played excellent and our running backs were amazing.

The best rose bowl game I’ve seen BY FAR so much fun to watch and the offense never ended for both teams and UGA coming out on top was the best part

looking back at this game so many of these players for both teams had really good rookie seasons in the NFL. was a great game played at a very high level

It’s amazing on how uga came back from 31-14 deficit can’t wait to see them against Alabama next week

Eli Boyd 31-17 because blankenship kicked a feild goal before half time

One of my all time favorite UGA wins and it was a dream matchup that lived up to everything but up to the hype. Oklahoma was a great football team and I can see why Baker Mayfield won the Heisman and the way his offensive line played hats off to them as well. UGA kept fighting and fighting, right before halftime I said to myself if UGA were to miss that field goal Oklahoma could really have a chance to put this entire game away since they were in complete control. The 2nd half of this game was the whole complete game, once the sun went down it was truly indescribable feeling as a college football fan you live to see moments like this that will last a lifetime and this game really told us a great story between 2 of the greatest storied programs in the country. Good game Oklahoma and hope we do it again but make it neutral site home and home series isn't enough;)

Ga's O-line & J. Fromm's coolness under pressure is what carried Ga to the Nattie this yr. J. Fromm's coolness rubs off on the entire team & allows them all to stay calm when things look bad. GA's RB corps is impressive in the open-field, but GA wouldn't have made it past the Sooners w/o that O-line & Fromm being on point like they were. The holes that Ga's O-line makes for Chubbs & Michel are just mind-blowing and the emotionless, calculated leadership of Freshman QB Jake Fromm is NFL All-Pro quality all day long! He's a lot like Brady. Cool & calm under extreme pressure!

I'm a month late with this, but as a Patriots fan, Sony Michel's postseason play reminded me a lot of how he did in this game.

One of the greatest game in the history of college football/rose bowl games we seen!

Quite possibly the greatest rose bowl game ever played. People will be talking about this game for decades.

As a Dawgette of many many years I haven't come so close to repeated heart attacks in decades. What a game! All respect to OU for putting on an incredible performance and more to my Dawgs for never giving up and fighting back.

I thought 2017 was all about blowing leads I guess it's gonna continue LETS GO DAWGSS

Goofy Zeem man I just proud of UGA and how far they have come from all the years I've been watching them and for them to win a game like this has me stoked for the championship game and I have a lot of Oklahoma friends who say this was a fluck and you could never beat bama I'm tired of it I'm ready to see who comes out and better luck next season for Clemson and Oklahoma

As an OU fan, I still haven't fully recovered from this game, but I've gotta give UGA credit. They played out of their minds, especially in the second half and overtime. With the direction of both programs, I am sure we will see each other again in the near future!
