Been in the trade for 30 odd years myself and the garage I work in dosen't really want to get involved with DPF issues, I have done the odd few, Now I understand them much better from your videos mate and ordered the Launch cleaning fluid and gun. Thanks mate.😉

You and Diagnose Dan are my 2 favourite automotive diagnostics channels... its just a shame that vehicles have become so complicated, needlessly in many cases, that one needs a degree in computers to fix them... A DIYer can't simply pull the DPF out and fit a new one, they then need to programme the vehicles onboard system to ACCEPT the new part... and the companies putting up barriers to that process unless you use an "approved dealer" (£££) is disgusting... Thank you for your educational vids !! 🤗 😎👍☘🍺

The Launch tool is good but as someone who just does a few vehicles there is no way I could justify such a huge price. The Kingbolen K10 is a better prospect for me and seems pretty capable and able to do everything I am likely to need.

Well done another happy customer,the in depth use of the scan tools was educational ,I'm looking for a scan tool that does injectors on Mazda 6 2015,a fun task.I'll be adding your channel as I'm currently learning diagnostics on Schrodingers box.

This goes to show that mechanics need to be more like computer experts nowadays.

That's what I love about you brother, you see a small problem you can fix easy you fix it. Many people will just say it's not my problem. I love doing the quick free jobs to make peoples lives better it's the right thing to do you're a rare breed of human.

Hi Jimmy I noticed you have a D1 lite well I did a 2019 connect with my D1 and it reset the dpf reset first time using my WiFi at home the only thing I could not do was clear the codes that you had as I had but signed up for autel auto auth and it cleared them thankyou for the videos 😂

as a retired heavy plant guy and a diy mechanic i have a Xtool D9, all the data i could ever need but learning to interpret the data is another thing anyone like me can spend 1k on a tool but knowing what to look for is learned knowledge or expensive training courses sadly i have neither. i have learned a lot from you, well enough to diagnose these faults in our family cars... Thanks for sharing

The Kingbolen has an identical interface to my Topdon Phoenix which is an excellent scantool, I suspect many of these use the same software modules but are branded differently. Thanks again Jimmy for an excellent video.

Only wish I had the same level of knowledge, I have a small launch download to a tablet, but can't use it to it's full capability, originally bought it to do relearn on a lineatronic gearbox after replacing the unit in my 2013 Subaru Forester, I had even been told by a main dealer it was not required, went to Launch Plymouth, and they sorted it immediately,

Recently I had an argument with someone who was resetting soot readings on someones dpf without cleaning and claiming to have fixed the problem and charging them. Dont know if he really believed that or was just trying to rip people off. With so many electronics on vehicles now you have to use diagnostic tools and its so important if you are getting someone to do work for you that they are honest and know what they are doing, or admit their knowledge limits.

If someone simply resets the soot levels to zero without cleaning / replacing the DPF, the back-pressure sensor will throw up the error codes immediately so I can't see a cheater getting away with it...

I've had a similar comns issue with a Suzuki, turned out to be a splayed pin in the DLC on pin 7, the k-line. 2 hours trying to work out why I could see some live data but not all. Turns out my tool gets data from both can and k-line. Tool was fine, the damned DLC was faulty. Probably from people being rough plugging in the obd2 connector.

Excellent video, would like to see more of the Kingbolen K10's capability e.g. can it reset the built in mileage failure you talk about for the dpf's on Peugeot Boxer or Citroen Relay vans?

Smart tool. Didn't let you reset the fault before getting rid of the issue ..

This one could have a newer sw version on the gateway that makes the secure part of the diagnosis a bit more difficult.

My Brother had a Nissan Navara in Australia.....total sh98fight with DPF regeneration on short trips. Spanish built vehicle sent to Australia. End result not many mechanics able to deal with the problems.

I spoke with the guys at launch at mechanex show and they said sales had unexpectedly increased by 400% so they are struggling to keep up with demand right now. I'm sure it will resolve soon as they have hired extra help

It’s a transit connect It was on manual search, but still wouldn’t of picked up as lead was not connected correctly, as you noticed.

Interesting stuff, I wonder if these diagnostic tools can be used on tractors/excavators or if access codes are required from dealers?

10:10 Transit connect second bottom. Odd as the Transit courier is just listed at Courier

Love your videos. Does this tool work on the Maxus/LDV V80

220% full, whilst not a good analogy can also be snow in a bucket. Once you squash it down you can fit more in It was in your menu btw Ford --> Transit Connect

You Should check the intercooler pipes first before regeneration, I had a hole small hole and that why my one was blocked…DD says alway visual inspection first..

Regarding your earlier video and the phone problem, have you considered a second phone, and only give that number out to active/ engaged customers

What will be the Autel equivalent to the Launch Tab3, and how would you compare it?

had this issue myself with a 2018 connect , found the boost leak on the little pipe on top (sure you know the one) fixed that, then set about an acid clean , then tried resetting with autel . took ages waiting for modules to shut down , doesn't help when colleague's open the door etc. reset just the dpf and it appeared to be fixed . road tested ok . van back after 130 miles , with regen failure codes . so after much faffing about and resetting of anything that could be reset . again it all seemed great . the van done another 130 miles and the problem was back . I did notice some soot in the tail pipe and suggested the dpf may be cracked , at this point it was decided to get the delete bloke to delete things . now that seemed to solve all the issues and we didn't see it back again . please let us know if this one comes back and how you could diagnose a cracked dpf from pressure readings that are all quite low and will reset and look good initially . (if you get a chance )

Hi, I have a Merc c300H with Dpf issues. My plan is to have it removed. Any issues with this ? Also my vacuum has gone on the brake assist and I’m clueless now? Hybrid vacuum generator already replaced. Any advice would be appreciated 👍

Hi could you please tell me how long after you have cleaned the dpf it will last before it needs to be cleaned again, only I have a ford connect and thinking of selling it only because of this problem, it’s only four years old and only done 39000 miles. Thanks Roy

Turn off other Bluetooth devices, it often causes connection issues for me especially with MB for some reason.

Lol i thought for 4 or 5 seconds i had a cracked screen with that ford headlight reflection..panick wasnt even close to what i said out loud...

China I think made launch PAD 7 with genuine launch software, simply a copy of launch tab III.

Having same fault codes on a 2014 Volvo V60 D4 2.0L. Has come to “soot filter reached limit” same p246300 did come up on our work launch. Was told if it can’t be cleaned to try the launch Uk dpf cleaner. Have you cleaned many Volvos with the launch Uk dpf cleaner?

I was thinking after your last video Jimmy would you consider taking maybe one or two mechanics for on the job training , I could see you being able to charge £500 per candidate maybe do it twice a month 4 to 5 days on the job training plus I agree with the last comment you should be getting a good discount for selling there products good luck

Good point. Although it was only the key fob battery, it wouldn't surprise me if it causes problems with comms.

secure gateway from 2019 i believe you can get bypass cables to get around most of them

Aren't the smaller Ford vans powered by Peugeot engines?

That style of dongle on the kingbollen is unnecessarily thick , in many cases will not fit well without using short cable.

So, both codes clearly stated 'Particulate Filter Restrictions' and 3 garages failed even to clean out the filter first and then, second, to attempt to clear the codes before handing over to someone who could. Ridiculous. They must all have my £14.99 scan tool!

Would you recomend a tool close to the launch euro3 but at more of a diy price

You need 2numbers and freelance callcenter who will book the job or in rear cases put call trough if you want to help some guy fix its car. I guess.

No , 100% is full. A number above 100% makes no sense.

Its like ford blocking u out of the software so the customer is forced to take it to them! Yet they havnt got a scooby doo and will sell u every part but the one u need. Disgusting behaviour as if the locks aint bad enough now this

why would you do a forced regen before you put a cleaner through first, lazy and no common sense
