3 FINESSE TRICKS TO CATCH BASS RIGHT NOW!
Спорт
Struggling to catch fish? These tricks will help! These finesse baits will get you bites when nothing else is working! Bass are aggressive this time of year in most lakes, but if you're having a hard time, it's probably time to downsize. From craws, to swimbaits, to worms, these are the tricks we rely on to keep catching fish!
We love to throw big baits for big fish but there is also a time to downsize. Small baits can catch BIG bass, especially as we head into Summer. If things get tough, we like to focus on small profile baits to show bass something they're not used to seeing. It's amazing how quickly you can turn a day on the water around by simply going to a smaller presentation!
Below you'll find links to some of Tim's key confidence baits. We've included favorite colors, the rigging components, and even included some great budget friendly rod and reel combos to fish them effectively. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Its been 4 years now since the big 14 frog on the water comparison video. There has been a lot of frogs introduced since then. You guys could do an hour long frog video talking colors, types, on the water walking them and modifications. Why because everyone loves catching them on a frog. Appreciate all you do. Thank you
Love your videos! AND…I like that “I am second” bracelet! God bless you!
Tim, another top notch video from you and TB. Nothing gets me more fired up than your videos. Thank you and Matt for the best bassin videos anywhere.
It’s 3:30 am right now. Perfect time to beat the heat and the crowds.
Man, Respect to both of you guys
Kinda off the subject from this video but wanted to say I was able to save a small bass today that had choked my shakey head thanks to remembering a technique I saw Tim do. Cut my line and went up through the gills with my pliers and was able to just roll it out without messing the bass up. So thankfully to have seen that along with everything else you both have taught me with all these videos. Thank you for everything yal do
Was on the lake last night face this very same conditions no bites, but grass finding its way into the picture. Perfect advice at the perfect time. Thanks Tim !
The fishing had been BRUTAL at our local lake; we think the water company treated the water and the disolved oxygen drop pushed ALL the fish deep. 2 days ago, temps started creeping up above average temperatures and they showed up. Caught my first Neko rig fish yesterday on that junebug T-mac.
I just recently put together my first sort of BFS rig. Put a Curado BFS on a Dobyns Champion 684 CB. Not a true Ultra Finesse rod, but I’m having a blast throwing small swim baits, light drop shot rigs, weightless wacky rigs, and other more finesse bass baits with this combo! I fish other larger presentations with heavier set ups too, but I’m catching more on the BFS rig and smaller presentations for sure. It has saved me from getting skunked several times when they wouldn’t touch the larger baits. The bonus is that it is SO MUCH FUN catching on the lighter set up! 👊😎👍
Thank you Tim,great video and WOW that water is amazingly clear ❤

I'm pretty sure that's Lake Michigan.
Can we get a video of all of the most used baits throughout the year? Like the ones that are best during multiple transitions and conditions. Like top 10 all round/all year baits, In a sense.
Excellent presentation as always. I appreciate your smaller presentation recommendations. At my advanced age and less arm mobility, the smaller presentations are easier for me to cast.
" i;m sure I will find that hook with my foot " You and I are the same. Lol.....
Thanks!
You all should do a Carolina Rig video
Awesome information again! Some anglers have just improved their skills immensely. I’m in smallmouth country, can you do a video that shows where they go after spawning, how long it takes them to get back into the feeding “wolf packs”, and should you be targeting them with finesse or speed presentations? Thanks
Waiting to go out around an hour before sunset is awesome.
Tim comes to a lake: sunny, crystal clear water, nothing but bass. I come to a lake: it's spilled out on the bank because it's been raining almost non-stop for 6 weeks, one big grass mat shore to shore and spawning carp make more noise than cicadas. And did I mention cottonwood?
Been throwing the little mayor on the TB underspin for a while... it's such a killer combo. Rapala and Jacob Wheeler did a great job with the crush city line. Can't wait to see what the drop at iCast. I've heard some good stuff is coming.
Good advice
Yep, I’ve been smoking em for years on a little craw…free rigged. It’s always tied on.
Good morning. I gotta try out the Ark BFS reel. I'm going to place an order on TW. What Little Creeper Trash Fish swimbait do you guys throw. Since they are 3 different sizes
Going fishing in Cooperstown NY are their any lakes or ponds I should go to and what lures should I use
Have you ever added a second drop shot hook as a teaser above so now you’ve got two bats that are up in the water column?

I haven't tried that but makes sense Ill have to try it. I like to tie a Ned rig instead of a drop shot weight which works great for me

Solid !
The craw has just started to work for me post spawn, love it on my 6"8 expride.Didnt like it on my 7"2 ,it overpowered the bait.
I lose fish constantly using the covershot/rebarb style hooks. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? I feel like i get a solid hookset into them, but they come unbuttoned at least 50% of the time. I'm using a dobyns 702 spinning with 8 lb flouro leader. any thoughts?
You up in Michigan?
Hey Tim, what color was that senko?
