Hi! I found your channel and I'm so glad. My 13 month baby just says "mamá" "papá". Her pediatrician told me that she is supposed to say 3 to 5 words and that we should pay attention to her language delay.

Thank you so much! I know a man whose child will be three son that does not talk. She is very tech savvy but I don't hear him talk about spending the time to teach her. I want to help but I also don't want to overstep boundaries. What is the best way to get her to try to talk even if the word is Dada or mama?

When he was younger he loved it, but now he just runs up to me to take the book away right when I start reading it every single time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hi maam! I wanted to ask your opinion if my baby is on track on her language development. She is 17mos old and can talk 7-8 words already with purpose and can understand and do most of what we asks her to do. However my concern is she won't call me "mama". I keep on teaching her but gets nothing into it. Should I need to worry about it? Thank you.

Hi Patricia , you are amazing , my little girl is 16 months in a couple of days, she copy everything, but she doesn’t talk to much , sometimes she says mama or dada, she says jes and no , but if I ask her where is dads? She doesn’t point ( I want to mention she point all the times when she has interest on something or she try to take the object or wherever she wants at the moment ) but if I am telling her “ can You say mama ?” She won’t reply , if I ask her where is the nose? She will point my nose .... she slightly start to imitate the horse , but she is doing only when she is in the mood , we are from Germany but we talk2 language, how should I talk with her ? In the 1 or 2 languages? Should I worry because she is not saying mama and dada when I ask for ?

Hi! Thank you so much 💜!! Your little girl seems to be a typical toddler 😂 sometimes they won’t say mama or point on command... toddlers have a mind of their own sometimes 🙈 however if she using the words at 16 months you are on the right track! 😊 2 languages is great. Bilingualism is always a plus. Work on imitating animals noises, and imitating environmental noises. Once she masters that , move on to words! Keep me posted!

We're trying to be bilingual too. I'm from Serbia and my husband is from UK, we live in UK. Our boy is 2 and he says mum, dad, oh no, hand... I speak to himnin Serbian and my husband English. He understands us both but he's saying just simple words (all in English, he goes to nursery twice a week). Also, due to covid we haven't been to Serbia for 2 years so I'm thinking that interaction with kids there (and my family) would be essential. I've read different stuff about bilingual kids. Some studies say they do start speaking a bit later some say that doesn't have an impact. What is your opinion on this and what's your experience with bilingual kids? We've got 2 year assessment coming soon but so far gp here told us there's nothing to worry about yet.

@@ivesence hi, we where bu her doctor and she says it is perfectly normal, some kids develop different skills faster or a little bit slowly, it is very good what is him doing, doctor said it is also enough to say two words, bis 3 years he will start , that’s the time wich German doctors give to a child to develop speak language.... if you’re son understand you and he answer when you are calling him on his name it’s ok ... that’s what I’ve been told at the appointment when I was with my daughter to visit her doctor

My grand daughter (21 months) knows body parts, clothing, colors, we sing all the time, but she doesn’t show any interest in actually saying the words. She says please (peas) and thank you (2 syllables). How do we get her to say the actual body part names? Her receptive language seems just fine, just not expressive.

Please help my son is 14 months he dosent respond to his name or verbally speak. He is great at ignoring you but he hears trucks, airplanes or birds when he's outside playing. He will play with toys and laughs when he is on the slide or swing. I work on getting him to say mama or daddy and sometimes he mistakely babble it . He's a great sleeper, walked at 9 months and eats everything. When I count out loud and show him my fingers I get his direct attention but that's the only time . If he's watching a TV program and you block his view while attempting to get his attention he will look around you and focus his attention on his show. Is this autistic behavior ? How can I help him with his speech. He also does not point. Clap or follow directions but he appears normal and happy in all other areas. He does run with excitement to his daddy but only his daddy. I can chase him and play scare and he sometimes will run and laugh. Any information is appreciated.
