3 Easy Portrait Lighting Setups for Small Spaces [Studio Lighting Setups for Beginners]

Hey guys!
I hope everyone is doing well 😊
Today's video is going to be all about 3 easy portrait lighting setups for small spaces. (Studio lighting setups for beginners.)
It can be really difficult for beginners when it comes to setting up lights for portraits. So in today's video I decided to share some simple portrait lighting setups , particularly suitable lighting setups for small spaces.
I originally had a home studio, so I wanted to share some studio lighting for beginners that requires only between 1-2 lights.
Hope you guys enjoy! :)

thank you for being a genuine person in this video and not making viewers feel as though lighting set ups are difficult/unachievable or require extremely expensive kit. Really found this helpful. x

Hi! I love you videos! I was wondering what light and flash equipment did you use for these portraits? I’m trying to shoot portraits for my jewelry business 🙏🏼

Solid information. But I guess my problem with studio photography is at least the angle as well as how much flash power. I always feel like my photos don't ever come out naturally looking like yours. Just feels like a photo taken with flash with a paper backdrop.

quick tip to viewers about the last clamshell version with such a tight setup (and potentially slightly larger boxes) is to make sure you have pretty strong modeling light on all the way through the session to keep those pupils as small as possible. Otherwise you might end up with lizzard-eyes :-). (obviously not visible in your shots though so all good)

Will the lights in my house matter? I have two large windows with natural light but should I use blackout curtains? Confused about how the room should be.

If you want to use the one light but have a lower ceiling and you can’t raise the light as high will that affect the shot

It will depending on how low you have to have it, but if you can’t move the light move the model, have them sit on a lower chair or even on the floor

1:27 "a small space" that's the size of our entire apartment where 3 people live. I need a lighting setup for a 2feet by 4feet space. That's also my workout area and work from home area by the way.

Not necessarily, but it does depend on where you're holding it. It's important to make sure it's not held too close to the face. 🙂

It would've been great if you actually showed us how you adjust lights step by step while using the equipment instead of talking directly Infront of the camera. @KayleighJune This is a good video especially with the pictures of the setup of the equipment.
