He started as a villain because someone did actually tell him he's too ugly to be a hero, then he did a long stint of the hero guy in the 2000s, and then in 2010s he did more action and says he wants to do more of it now so that's the evolutin. But you have to see classic SRK stuff first before the new stuff. Veer Zara is a great heartwarming story, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name is Khan

It's also arguably his best performance and most complicated role so I feel like for this reason it would be better to start with Swades, Veer Zaara, DDLJ or Devdas, so they can see his "normal self" then be even more impressed with the performance in MNIK 🤷‍♀️

He is actually The LAST OF STARS....the mark he put in romance and story .... it's still hard for younger actors to achieve tht

He doesn't need marketing. Only the name is enough. You just can't imagine what SRK fandom is. Just wait and be curious. Believe me, you'll get to know.

If someone is not familiar with his public personally, SRK can come off as cocky, arrogant etc. But once you know him, he's extremely intelligent, witty, well read and well spoken. To add to that, he is very much SELF-AWARE and at times self depreciating. He is an inspirational story and personality, and an okay actor as well!!!!

SRK is having the biggest comeback in the history of cinema. The man who couldn't do much box office wonders in the last decade has given 2 consecutive all time blockbusters with a collection of over 1.1 billion rupees. And I am pretty sure that his next film, Dunki, will also be super successful at the box office too.

And it was 2006, in my opinion, at present it would've been crossed 4.5+ billion for srk And if U think that this is bcoz of 1.4 billion Indians that made this possible for SRK, how could u forget the vintage actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth.... They are also from India, from 60s in film industry and still Active, till now there popularity must be over 6 billion people, NO ? Or how about Jackie Chan, from China (1.4 billion population ), worked in Hollywood too, his popularity also must be over 6-7 billion, right ? But NO And I'm also a fan of Tom but not obsessed with his fukin overhyped "Real Stunt" Stuntmen do much more dangerous and life threatening Stunts than Tom on daily basis, so are we now going to say that Stuntmen are bigger Star than Tom ? Actor must know/have Acting Skills (in which Tom is Wonderful 👍 I'm not demeaning Him but ) the fact is SRK is much better and much much more popular than Tom, period.

I'm not a fan but when he said I'll be the "last of the stars" he wasn't being arrogant I think he is right. People are not in that zone of adoring actors like that any more so he might be right.

He is 100% right. This level of stardom is gone in the north. None of the younger actors have it. Even Ranbir with the massive success of Animal cannot be called a superstar. In the south it might be a tad different. Many superstars still around.

SRK - Biggest movie star on earth. There will be no one like him ever again.

Hi guys! As a French fan of Indian cinema, my suggestions for SRK movies: *Swades* a moving story, easily accessible for westerners, considered one of his most subtle and best performances. *My Name Is Khan* same as above. Arguably his most difficult role to play (Asperger's syndrome), his most impressive performance IMO. The story is set in the US and some elements will definitely resonate with you. His co star in the movie is Kajol, they are known as the evergreen onscreen couple of Bollywood (friends in real life), they have done many highly popular movies together and have incredible chemistry. Kajol is one of the best actresses in the country. *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge* 1995 classic that made SRK and Kajol superstars. They did together 2 popular movies before, but DDLJ became the longest running movie in theaters. There is a theater in Mumbai that has never stopped showing the movie, it still goes on to this day. Many movies keep making references to DDLJ. The 2 most iconic movies of Bollywood are without question DDLJ and Sholay (1975 curry western). It's a fun romcom with also a message about society, culture and how women are treated. *Dil Se* 1998 romantic drama/thriller that deals with terrorism in the northeast of India. SRK plays a journalist who falls for a mysterious woman with shady connections... Considered a classic, directed by Mani Ratnam, one of the most renowned Indian directors. DDLJ and this one are my 2 fav Hindi movies. This one is a rather dark movie though, it's not very "commercial", and even though it is considered a masterpiece by many, some people have an issue with it. I saw it very early when I started watching Indian movies, it was the 6th one I think, so I feel like it is accessible to newcomers if you're open to morally grey characters and stories that can be a bit unusual and deal with dark subject matters. Fun fact, even though it's not a commercial movie, the opening song Chaiyya Chaiyya is extremely well know and has even been featured in American movies. *Om Shanti Om* a 2007 hit, massive entertainer, Deepika's debut in Bollywood, you'll see this one recommended a lot but IMO you should *wait* before watching it because there are many references and TONS of cameos of super famous actors, and it will be WAY MORE FUN for you if you wait a bit until you see more movies and are able to recognize more people. Fun fact, the director of the movie is a renowned choreographer who did choeros for Shakira and for the movie Dil Se that I mentioned above 😊 *Darr* a 1992 thriller by renowned director Yash Chopra. SRK plays the villain who is obsessed with the heroine and harasses her. So if you want to see him in a negative role I would suggest this. IMO the movie stands the test of time pretty well. *Veer Zaara* another classic by Yash Chopra, a romantic drama this time where he is not the villain. There is a lot more obviously but this is a start 😊 Other actors/actresses from Bollywood that you should get introduced to + recs are *Salman Khan* (I'm assuming a reaction to Bajrangi Bhaijaan is planned soon, Sultan is good too), *Kajol* (DDLJ, My Name Is Khan, Fanaa with Aamir Khan in a negative role), *Rani Mukerji* (Kajol's cousin), *Preity Zinta* (both Rani and Preity are in Veer Zaara), *Hrithik Roshan* (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Agneepath the 2012 version, War if you want to start watching the YRF spy universe that connects with Salman's Tiger series and with SRK's Pathaan), *Akshay Kumar* (Airlift, Padman), *Deepika Padukone* (upcoming Fighter with Hrithik for which you saw the trailer, Om Shanti Om, Ram Leela a Romeo and Juliet adaptation), *Ranveer Singh* (Deepika's husband, they met while shooting Ram Leela, recs: Gully Boy, Dil Dhadakne Do), *Ranbir Kapoor* (Wake Up Sid, Tamasha, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Brahmastra), *Shahid Kapoor* (Haider, Kabir Singh), the iconic Sridevi who sadly passed away in 2018 (English Vinglish, her awesome.2012 comeback movie), and of course the legend Amitabh Bachchan known as Big B (the iconic masala/western Sholay, Black with Rani Mukerji, Goodbye, cameos and small roles in tons of movies including various I already mentioned). You also should see more of *Kareena Kapoor* (lead girl in 3 Idiots) like the family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham a huge classic with SRK, Kajol, Hrithik, Big B and his wife, also the romcom Jab We Met, and of *Alia Bhatt* (Sita in RRR) like Raazi (thriller based on a real story), Udta Punjab (thriller/dark comedy also with Shahid and Kareena), Highway. And of course don't forget the south since you started with RRR 😊 Definitely consider watching the Tamil action movie Kaithi (it's action but the girls should def watch it too) and its spinoffs Vikram (2022) and Leo (2023). It will also introduce you to great actors. I can go on but I'll stop there lol 😁 Can't wait to see what you guys choose next 🙂👍

For the Start you can watch "My name is Khan". SRK's movies are not like Aamir Khan's movies. In many of his films you may not understand the cultural nuances and emotions. So go slow to enjoy his works.

Just watch "My Name is Khan"... It's an amazing movie and srk has acted really well in it

You should definitely start with his movie My Name is Khan One of his best performances, could be a very relatable movie, has a backdrop of 9/11

As a French fan of Indian movies I disagree. DDLJ, Devdas and Veer Zaara are great for a start. Devdas was the 2nd Indian movie I saw. DDLJ is my fav Hindi movie and I saw it rather early on. Veer Zaara is often loved by newbies. Chak De Indian is a good suggestion as well as RNBDJ but Main Hoon Na has too much goofiness and badly executed action, and Om Shanti Om has tons of cameos that they will miss. OSO is so much more enjoyable when you can identify these cameos. It's just a waste to make them see it too soon. Badshah is ok but lots of 90s goofiness, not for a start. You're saying "trust me" but as a westerner myself I'm in a better position to give these recommendations 😁

He is THE last of the stars. There's no debate about it. Gosh y'all have no idea the hold he had and still have on people. Ranbir is a good actor. But coming closer the fame SRK had is impossible. I am not even an Indian. I am a Sri Lankan and here all are die hard fans of him. You might think he was being cocky, arrogant and egoistic. But he was just being honest. Now he has more 3.8 billion people on his hand. He is witty, intelligent and very charming. Thousands of people get together infront of his house to wish him for birthday.
