One of the things I like about this camper is that he doesn't use live trees, he only really uses dead trees.. he knows how to appreciate the nature nice vlog again man keep safe...

Well yes. Building bushcraft shelters with deadwood is really just a process of "borrowing biomass" and moving it from one place to another during its journey being cycled back into the system. There is minimum impact to the ecosystem or the ecological process of forest growth and succession. Even with the sometimes jarring transplantation of thick moss from boulders to shelter rooftops, the likely result is just spreading of the moss, especially in the more humid climates. I am uncertain of regulations in Nordic countries or in Canada, but in the US cutting live vegetation of any kind is strictly prohibited on public lands without a specific permit. The same goes for any gathering of forest products (berries, wintergreen, etc.) beyond incidental levels for personal use.

Nice to hear that man. Just put your screen on night mode (warmer colors) and brightness to minimum so you'll get less toxic screen light and sleep even better!

My kitty b- lines over to me as I turn on my heater and lay down in bed to watch your videos. She seems to know from the sounds of your feet in the snow, and all the chop chop preparations to build your own sleeping place. She grooms herself, makes circles a few times, then settles down and curls up on me to go to sleep. On the best days, she lets out a little sigh. Lovely times. Thank you for sharing with us.😊😹
I have been watching your show for a couple weeks. Building shelter with what you have. Hot cold beach forest you will survive. Enjoy you journey can’t wait for more. From Indiana USA

It's absolutely amazing to see something so wonderful and relaxing. Your storytelling is so aspiring and helps us to remind ourselves to live in a more harmonious relationship with nature. Thank you for bringing such positive creativity and spirit into this video. I really needed this after a crazy day at work that felt too overwhelming, one would say I spend too much time living in the city now than nature. Great work and wish you all the best :)
Awesome videos bro! Very cozy setups
Another video really nice I'm excited for summer when you will do maybe some kayaking to some Nordic archipelago these are the best or in some small boat when you are fishing and then you arrive on some island 👍 maybe you can do something in winter if you want, these videos are really best ones

It was nice that you showed the "cheat log" you started the fire with. People think that they can start a fire anywhere and in any condition. That is so false... Keep safe, stay warm. Greetings from Greece!
Thanks is relaxing

Eeyyy! New video again!
Like your videos dude! Your wilderness reminds me a lot of my Alaskan wilderness. I got a small tip for ya that I learned from a native buddy here. While building up your fire, take your thumbs and pointer fingers and create a small diamond. Blow air through the diamond to concentrate it more precisely and with more air pressure. Handy trick, no pun intended.

Need to watch out for snakes!
I don't know if my body can survive on that kind of place very cold place as I see the snow around Am sure my body become frozen hehehe 😜 Love watching you here ❤ from Philippines 🇵🇭
Always a pleasure watching your videos. What kind of backpack is that
Remember ancient civilizations they just set there and rubble and ruin... A lot of times people don't even recognize what structures look like when they sit there and rubble and ruin.... But that's okay 👍 You spent 27 years out in the field you'll start finding all kinds of ruins you don't want to dig on cuz usually never find anything in them very often because all organic matter gets crushed and a lot of things biodegrade.. I'm just happy you're getting some field experience
Just about what i was waiting for! Thanks for sharing your awesome videos! I am also getting a hatchet! 🪓

First of all, congratulations, you are doing very nice and challenging camps. My question to you is how do you get used to city life after these camps...
Out of curiosity, why do you elevate your fires on rocks instead of digging a pit and surrounding it with stones to keep flying embers away? Aren't you afraid the wind will blow and your shelter could burn down?
@AgeofTheNorth
Жыл бұрын
It's to protect the earth. I don't want to be burning holes in the moss and earth everywhere I camp :) This also makes the fire get more air and there is no humidity from the ground.
