Ойын-сауық
In this episode I challenge myself with a 3 day solo survival mission on the beautiful Australian coast where I have to find, forage and catch my own food and water, using only a select few items. This was a super fun challenge. Hope you enjoy.

Scotty your answer to how aboriginal people cooked abalone or anything in a shell they just threw it in whole on the hot coals bro..even your fish just throw it on the coals then dust it off with a branch with a few leaves on it..we also use earth ovens as well, bury our food in the ground with the fire on top.

Second time was to bring his backpack across.
Been watching your videos with my grandfather while I visit my grandparents to take care of my grandma while she goes through chemo, he always looks forward to them. He use too go hiking for surveying but because of his arthritis he hasn’t been able to go out for years, so this brings back lots of memories for him.
Do this same challenge in Mount Druitt

I think Scotty would be a good candidate to revive the good old Bush Tucker Man series. It'd be a great modern reboot.

I’m jealous, mind sharing where? My guess would be NSW south coast
Mate, you should really audition for the Aussie series of Alone!! This was a pleasure to watch, your bush Rucker knowledge is very impressive!
Agree with most above. On the fish. You caught what we called ‘rock cod’ as a boy. We ate the happily (1960s). Rock cale are a vegetarian fish which torment the blackfisherman. They have a smaller mouth and are genuinely inedible. Love your expeditions.
I love the land back here at home in Canada but I am *obsessed* with Australian scenery and nature - looks like paradise!

I love the land here in Australia but am obsessed with the Canadian wilderness :)
This is taking me back to the days of Bush tucker man.
Thanks as always Scott for taking us with you on your hikes , brings backs memories of camps living off the land rabbit , wood pigeon , trout , perch , eels , freshwater crayfish and wild plants .
We used to do this down at snake bay as young teens. Though we took spear guns. Didn't eat as much salad from the shore as you did. We had no idea you could eat all of those plants that you pointed out.
I did that sip of water thing once. Giardia is not pleasant!

Had it years ago when i lived in the Hawkesbury area got it out of the tap didnt listen had to boil the water not good makes you crook alright.
Hey Scottie, a tip for those snails is to boil them until that button opens up then you should be able to just pop it out.
Great surf spots near by
As always great film with awesome scenery
Love every time you upload Scotty, you are so inspirational and informative.
First time watching your videos and I loved it, very informative and easy to watch, so relaxing!!

living your best life, unreal perfect weather, so good to see
Really enjoyed this one thankyou 😊
Great video scotty and setting,,must be a great feeling to catch and cook!!Andy
Hey mate another stunning video. That snail looking thing we call it "ariri" in the Cook Islands, to make it easier to take out of the shell we just chuck it in the coals and let it cook for a bit and just use your knife to get it out just how you were doing it and with a bit of lemon mind blowing. Just a tip for next time I guess. Keep the videos coming Scotty.
Love it Scotty,!!!! Really enjoying the bush tucker education - Can you do more of this on some of your bigger more inland trips?
Great video buddy thanks for sharing, your skills and knowledge are impressive 🎉
I learned so much watching this video, more of these please....
Epic vid lad, educational, environmental, excellent photography starring a legend. Onya mate, keep 'em coming. YEW!

Awesome video Scotty, love your work mate! Take me out on a trip with you 🙏
First time watching one of your vids. Well done, I really enjoyed it. Subbed ..
One of your best.

🌸💗 I think this is the 1st coastal video, of yours, that I have watched. Kinda neat to see you outside your normal comfort zone 💗🌸
The most knowledgeable survival video I have watched cheers Scotty
Thanks for sharing the adventure. Be well
Great video. Enjoyed it. Your a cool dude.
Love the swag set up. Great video. Favourite channel.
Beat video yet bro! So educational. Wish you took your board, that offshore wind and wave at the start was sick
epic vid mate...cheers🤙
broooooooo I love this type of video, when I read the title and saw you uploaded.. hyped me up!
This was amazing, I think a large part of me and my friends grew up with trips to the beach, or for the lucky, holidays houses on the beach. More beach survival/foraging is a must, love it Scotty! The pigface is one of my favourite plants too, never knew about the fruit all these years though.
It's that time of year again when I'm stuck inside under three feet of snow missing adventure season, but I've got your content to tide me over until spring! Great episode Scotty, very chill & hello from Canada! :)
Well done!
Such an amazing survival challenge the way you show the different bush tucker is awesome and so educating, keep it up Scotty 🤙🏼
Nice to see sunshine and blue skies...missing that here in rainy Scotland! Funny to see the thistles there too. Great wee video!
Man super insightful, really enjoyed the video. NSW coast is some of the most impressive country out there
Wonderful watching (from a wet n grey UK). Sometimes the footage is so good it’s easy to forget you are alone. Thanks for links to kit as well.
Appreciate the foraging education & survival intel, more please 👏 Was looking at a swag yesterday here in NZ but they are so heavy & bulky in canvas that I might just get a bivvy instead.
Loved this one thank you
Good for learning
Thank you, Scott.
Love the colors of the abalone shell, beautiful💚💜
Great vid Scotty
i love this instuctional video very helpfull scotty .keep it up .love from the uk
Great to watch! What a gorgeous place. I’d probably starve as I’m not a seafood fan, but great to see how much variety of food you found.
Nicely done.
amazing outdoor challenge and experience
Great content, just like watching the bush Tucker man on the ABC when I was a little kid!
The natural food parts are really great to try and remember too
Love the Tony Anderson playing in background. Nice touch
Another cracking vid brother
Hey Scotty, love your efforts mate. Just moved to the Gippsland coast and always picking up shells, never realised what the little roundish flat white ones were from, the turban snails foot. What a revelation that is, now I know. Keep up the great work mate 👍
Stunning weather for it! Tucker tips are great! Next challenge, 3 survival items?
What a great place to do a survival camp. I should try this in my neck or the woods.
Thanks Scotty superb scenery and I learnt heaps! Regards from Northern Rivers

Epic mission Scotty, love getting a regular dose of froth from you to get the hell out of Sydney. Cheers brother!
Great to hear about bush trucker here on the east coast
I like the new type of video keep it up 👍👌😀🤙
Really enjoyed this. Mouth was watering with that sea urchin and abalone especially. Yum!
Can also peel off the flower of black thistle to get the seed inside, it’s edible and a bush tucker that quenches thirst mate
Thanks Scotty, this was fun to watch. I wasn't familiar with the Neptune's necklace seaweed, that was a new one for me. Learned something new. Thanks for that. As far as I know so long as it isn't spiky and covered in silica hairs seaweed is usually edible and the worst that can happen is stomach upset if you eat the wrong one.
Love these videos :D
This is a fave. So much bush Tucker.
The pigface plant we call karkalla down south here. The leaves and flowers are also, edible as well as the fruit, but very salty. If you can find small sea snails like periwinkles on the rocks you can get by if you find enough of them. Between high and low tide. Eels will take a bait too, but they aren't the tastiest seafood. Top video mate.
Mate, your love and respect for the land is heartening in this day and age, bless ya brother 🙏🏻👊🏻🤘🏻 Tight lines 🍻
Please more videos like this one! Exactly like this one! Regards Saffa living in Belgium
Nice one mate - Good call on the bug net for next time!
Been waiting for this
Love your work, great to see you got some Kina, I prefer the ozzy urchin, more creamy, not so salty...love that ocean taste.
Awesome content, my friend. I love your content with the molluscs!
Awesome stuff mate.👍🦘
