Hey Charlotte, I've read two out of three books you've mentioned. I listened to the Atlas of the Heart last year, and I totally agree with the author that we have to understand our emotions better. And being aware is the first thing to change!

I like the casual reference to Mircea Eliade. I read his Shamanism around the time I had gone through everything Joseph Campbell has written and it was a fantastic follow-up to Campbell. Campbell was my introduction into thinking of the human being as a psychological organism, a creature that thinks symbolically. The idea has guided my philosophy about artificial intelligence and biology ever since. It also led me to Alan Watts and Idries Shah, two other giants. This is the kind of reading I go to when I need the inspiration you are talking about when I feel bored. That or a good film. Oh, and I couldn't agree more with the idea of creating example problems as one goes through a class/lecture/lesson!

Thanks for sharing :) Although I've finished my PhD this year, I will check out these books, especially the last one sounds intriguing as maybe I also sometimes feel bored instead of tired :) Anyways, as always, great video! Keep up the excellent work! :D

After this video I googled last book and was surprised that there was the same name docuseries on HBO MAX with Brene Brown herself. I am watching first episode and it's fascinating. I admire her storytelling and meanings that she puts into her words. Thank you, Charlotte, for recommendation, they are really interesting and helpful ❤️

yay a dutchie influencer! I too, like Brandon Sanderson (his business skills and work ethic more than his books, though his books are probably okay.)

I did read Deep Work. It did not impress me at all. Maybe, I was expecting too much from this book. But, it certainly it is a must read book.
