He did and the Mavs should make him a priority. He is playing on the vet minimum. TBH DJJ is a better fit than DFS was.
Haliburton really did amazing in game 7. Wasn't good most of the second half of the year and playoffs even, but he came through in a game they needed him most and was better than the star of the other team. That's real impressive for a guy who was is still so young
Josh Hart was telling Thibs he was staying in. Thibs would ask if he was alright to go, and Hart would give him the thumbs up. The Thibs running players into the ground is a shit narrative. Hart got injured because of overplay, but what else would they do? Play shake Milton or Jericho Sims? Those players would sink the Knicks if they played any significant number of minutes. By the point that Hart got injured, the Knicks were down to scraps, and any coach would play their players that many minutes. No one on the Knicks even came close to the top 10 minutes in the regular season.

The playoff minutes are justified, the issue is overplaying players in the middle of the regular season.
The Celtics aren’t winners unless they win the championship. Beating 2 injured teams that had no chance of contending even if healthy isn’t a victory, it’s what they’re supposed to do

Embiid is also still ringless with ZERO playoff success and is as fragile as a newborn baby. Weak mindset and folds when the lights get too bright. Think the hate he gets is deserved and he will continue to get it unless he gets 100% healthy or shows some sort of drive in the post season.

Jokic, Embiid, and Giannis are essentially the big 3 in the league, especially considering media and MVPs... but Embiid is the only one to not reach the conference Finals (Giannis and Jokic made it twice) and he's the only to not have championship. Yet for some reason, 6ers fans are taking it upon themselves to compare a player who have never made it out of the 2nd round to Jokic losing right after his championship.

I don’t think it was hate but I’m not sure most fans realize the state of the roster. Probably most playoff rotations are 8-9. Thibs went 8 more times than not. The team just had crap luck with injuries. Bojan went down then Mitch. Those guys weren’t being overworked. But when they went down it forced more minutes on the starters. Hart wouldn’t even be playing that many minutes if Randle never went down. Injuries are 90% of the time bad luck. Memphis team was wrecked with injuries and I never hear anything by minutes about them.

Can we give Luka some credit for fighting through injuries like a beast & getting to the WCF 2 times in 3 years. With 2 totally different rosters.
Your take on the knicks I definitely don’t agree with! We had a ton of injuries. Tibbs had no choice but to play everyone 42 mins. We didn’t have a bench. You saying to rely on our productive bench?? What bench?? Alec burks?? Name 1 other player we could have played that was healthy on our bench! Sims?? No.
I disagree on the thibbs thing. It's not his fault some of the players got hurt. Mitchell Robinson, randle, and Bojan was not his fault. And there's no definable data to show that everyone else got hurt cause of him. You want Jacob toppin and Jericho Sims playing minutes? In a playoff game? Hard to do when the margins of victory is that small. He's gonna get paid cause he's the best knicks coach in a long time
Can people stop blaming thibs it had nothing to do with him

I don’t know. It is true that other coaches would also look a lot better in the short term if they played their starters for 45+ minutes a game, but that they avoid it for a reason. When you do something that everyone else agrees is bad/dangerous, and the thing they warned about happens, you’re probably in the wrong.

@@Dizcrete Of course, but that's kinda beside the point.
Here's the thing. Thibs sacrifices player health for wins. It's a trade-off. They wouldn't be nearly as good if those guys didn't play so much. That's just how he coaches. The team knows that when they hire him, the players know that when they sign there. You may not agree with the approach, but it does get more results with less and will not change. I find it fascinating. It certainly has a negative impact on player health and longevity, however it probably gives his team the best chance to win. He could win a ring with less talent than most other coaches, its just playing roulette as to wether the players will survive all the way through the finals.
Even though I’m sad that the Nuggets lost, I’m happy for the Wolves. I hope they go all the way. Celtics are their biggest competition right now!

Disrespectful to compare a contract that the team won a title while paying tothe HALF A DECADE OF 76ERS HISTRY SET ON FIRE by that untradable contract
He mentions in the video that thibs wouldn’t rely on productive bench play. There is no bench our bench is our starting lineup now. We don’t make it this far in the playoffs without them being overplayed. It’s the playoffs everyone is willing to buy in and put everything on the line. We did what we could and over achieved. Thibs is not at fault.
Alec Burk may have been the second best player for the Knicks and Thibs barely played him.
Pacers/Timberwolves NBA Finals. Make it happen.
I like MPJ, but he fell short this postseason. But same can becsaid of Gordon. Both scored in single digits too many times, not helping Jokic & Murray. But i also have to say, MPJ needs to dedicate himself more. He has become too complacent just staying at 3 point line. He needs to be more like KD & shoot midrange. When he drives to basket, a lil contacts bothers him too much, needs to develop a floater then if he cant make it all the way to basket.
They not getting rid of MPJ, I can tell you that for sure
A lot of these clips are from old seasons. Lots of these guys aren’t even on the shown teams anymore.

Terrible Thibs take. The Knicks had legit no choice, all of the injuries suffered in the regular season (and playoffs besides OG's) were contact plays, injuries not caused by overplaying whatsoever. Heck, you look at the Knicks' minutes, the only Knick ranking in the top 25 in mpg was Jalen Brunson at 14th (a very normal amount of mins for a superstar). Nobody was ridiculously overplayed until they had no choice because everybody got hurt. It's either that or they play literal G-Leaguers in the playoffs, none of that is Thibs' fault.
@corneliusaladeniyi

You gotta think about the wear and tear, players made have gotten injured the playoffs but the mileage from the regular season also plays a role.
As a Cavs fan, I don't think we could have beaten the Celtics anyways, even at full strength. I'd like to see Garland traded for a good wing player. Craig Porter can be a back up point guard for Mitchell, assuming we can get Mitchell to agree to stay. Also either Mobley or Allen need to start shooting the 3 more or 1 needs to be traded.
