W vid! Thx I just started on my fashion journey and this is what I needed.

One important note I think especially for the Modern Menswear aesthetic is the tailor will be your best friend. Especially for Asian men below the average height (lezgo short kings). Most of my pants are tailored which brings out the shine on my fits. I loved how you emphasized it in the end... cheers! I also agree that the physique plays an important role, that is why I never want to bulk and just maintain this weight lol... my friend keeps telling me to bulk but hell nah, slim/lean physique is perfect for the Modern Menswear style. For context, I'm 168cm weighing 59kgs hahaha I exercise pretty much regularly 2-3 times a week but lethargic days are more frequent than your average weighted person since I'm partially anemic + slightly below the normal BMI as well.

i think bulking is fine if you're transitioning from a skinny dude. the best aesthetics from what I see are big chests toned bodies and slim but slightly muscular legs

Bulk is great if you build muscle and plan on going on a cut later. Def worth the the investment if youre skinny.

I highly recommend taking supplements for the anemia. I had the same problem my whole life, and it was a game changer to start a serious regiment

dawg wtf we got the exact same height and weight and I’m hella lean as well. football season is in 6 months so ima take the time to get to around 67kg then cut down till I’m lean again.

Lighter tops and darker bottoms work better because: (1) lighter colors make you look wider/bigger and (2) darker colors are more slimming. This combination makes you look like you have broader shoulders and slimmer waist.

Almost all animals have darker colours on top and lighter on the bottom so with heavy lighting from above, they stand out less so it's beneficial to hide from predators. Following this logic, wearing lighter colours on top and darker colours below would make you stand out more, which might demonstrate confidence and hence looking better. Just my theory tho

as a asian teenager its mostly because you'll see this style most prominte in asian media (webtoons, Kdramas etc) therefore the videos targeted audience are asian men. this doesn;t mean any other race wouldn't be able to pull these looks

Korean men seem to be ahead of the curve with fashion but asian men in general imo need to work out more. You dont need to be a steroid muscle head but be toned up and have some abs

You’re missing a major thing with fashion. You also need the face and build to go with your outfit. If you’re a fat Asian with a bowl cut, you will not look good in anything. No matter how much you spend. People hate to say it but it’s how it is. I see all these fat Asians try to recreate these “cool fits” and it just looks terrible. Even if the clothes fits, the wideness of the whole thing is just off putting. And adding in that they have no neck and a double chin, it looks horrendous
