I am a 35 year ASE master technician, anybody who takes any information from this video is looking to spend LOTS of money on replacing incorrect parts and putting innocent people in danger.

Whenever i release my brake pedal the rpms jump. and I have rough idle and misfires everywhere all the time. Any ideas what it could be?

Useful enough. Half the video was showing images having little or nothing to do with the check valve.

Half the info in this video is dead wrong.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. There is no brake fluid inside the booster and if there is, the rear seal in the master cylinder is leaking.

Hi…I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7….after driving for 5 miles or so ….it feels like the brakes are being applied….i let go of the gas pedal,and the jeep stops….i have changed the rotors,calipers,wheel sensors,abs module,abs pump,booster everything dealing with the brakes…and nothing helps….what I did last was remove check valve from the booster,and heard air escape….wondering if that’s normal….can you help…..I LOVE my jeep….i have done a lot of repairs myself…..help….thank you

my rpm moves a bit when i pump the brakes when the engine is on and i'm at a stand still. is this a symptom of a failing check valve or bad vacuum hose?

You said the brake booster is filled with brake fluid, which is completely wrong. There should be no fluid in the brake booster. if brake booster have any brake fluid that means it’s gone bad

I really want to believe that a bad brake booster or check valve can make a brake pedal soft as its the last thing left for me to replace.. never heard of a vaccum issue making brakes soft, they usually get harder.

I ended watching this video because I have the same problem. Have you found what cause the pedal to get soft? I have replace the brake pump 3 times and my mechanic says the next thing will be to replace the abs module but that is expensive.

@I Martinez hey, i ended up selling the car but, my mechanic told me it was the abs module even though it was replaced he said I could have picked a bad one... I dont think that was the problem.

@@SamVieiraGuitar your right it wasn't the problem. If ABS module goes bad it will still work as a proportioning valve and the brakes will still work. You just won't have anti-lock brakes

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra LTD with a stiff break pedal. Breaks are good and the car stops well. "i think my check valve is clogged". It does not like to start and has keyless ignition. I got a new check valve part# 28327-2E200 from the dealer but it looks nothing like the oem valve that's on there. Even my mechanic says . . . no way . . . wrong part. I never opened the bag. Part was checked by the dealer with my vin#. Anyone ???

I got a 99 Cadillac escalade 5.7 vortex.......my brake pedal trys locking up randomly usually when it's raining or snowing...hell I had to slam the pedal so hard to break it free that I busted a brake line. Kinda weird cuz it makes a weird loud farting sound similar to a deep grinding sound" errrerrrrerrr" I have no clue what's causing it. could a check valve cause this or much bigger issues u think?

Itl get super hard to press the pedal and brakes don't really work when it occurs...then il kick the shit out of it and itl either take free and stop or blow a brake line
