Спорт

Most important part of the corner is wherever the vibes are

I’m loving Homestead this week. I’m getting good vibes on the bottom early in the run, then good vibes up high late in the run. Then you pit and do it all again. Just ridin and vibin.

Great video Justin. As a driver in real life and a driver coach for younger drivers I can say that corner entry is the most important thing for gaining on track speed. The first two points you make are apart of setting the car. You want to have your weight transfer and your line set prior to the banking transition or apex entry, if it is a flat track, this allows for a smoother rotation and a higher rolling speed from apex off. The third point is what I call line spotting. Simple put look where you want the car to go for apex and then for corner off. A good example of this is watching wingless sprint cars on dirt. The driver is always looking towards where they want the car going not where it is pointed. Again great vid keep it up

Nice video here. This will also benefit dirt drivers. Lots of drivers/coaches will call this "setting" the car for the turn/corner.

New to iracing strugling with front tires after 20 laps trucks at iowa tried running, high, low, gentle, hard, i see drivers running fast but still have speed in those final laps b4 tire change/end of race. Really enjoy driving flat tracks but not getting even tirewear is frustrating as hell. Will be trying these things today thank you wish me luck 🙄

I like to think of grip flicking as using the lightness of the car-just before the straight drops into the banking-to pre-point the car for the moment the suspension loads up. If it loads while the nose is pointed parallel to the track or pointed up the track, you’ll have to scrub more speed to avoid washing up.

Grip flicking is my biggest issue especially in qualy when the tires are cold. Thank you for putting it in a way that I can understand and now improve. I have been trying to figure it out on my own for a week and finally found your video.

When people say 'exit is the most important thing' I think what actually happens is they are over simplifying it. It's technically true, but doesn't really cover the nuances. Corner entry and center are how you get a good exit. If you nail those two things, exit kinda takes care of itself. I think entry is so important because you use the entry to set up your exit.

some of the telemtry from top level drivers i used to have on my team and in dwc is rediculous, sure the idea is right but the tire isn’t realistic, sure it’s better than anything else but the telemetry doesn’t lie.

Corner entry sets you up for a good apex and a good turn exit. It is the most essential part of cornering, by far!

Keep your eyes fixed on where you WANT to go. Same in motorcycle racing. same in stock car racing. same in semi-truck driving. You will naturally go to wherever you are looking.

Counter argument to the entire point of this video. Corner entry, mid corner, and corner exit cannot be truly appreciated and utilized without the other two. Therefore, they are all equally important
