3/6/2017 Tornado Warning In Quincy, IL (Sirens Blaring Vid1)
10:17pm A Real Li-git Tornado warning since 2013 the same tornadic storm that hit in the Kansas City area. The TV said the sirens would be sounding for Quincy so I got mom up to go to the basement The camera was already recording in case I missed the start up of the sirens, I had trimmed the video to when fortunately I picked up the camera the sirens just started up, the cuts were separate files of the video because notifications were blowing up my phone and the Emergency warning notifications always stopped the recording so I had to turn on do not disturb. The sirens first start winding up it sounds very scary. 3 possibly 4 sirens can be heard, All worked very well during this Tornado Warning. Same storm that hit Shelbyville, MO

I remember this. My son was born 2 months prior i was freaking out because we lived in an apartment on 24th and Harrison. No basement.
Quincy's 40V2T's sound awesome! Very eire sounding.

To me it sounds like something is bad about to hapen like an attack and it's really scary to hear at night

Every time I heard this sound growing up in Quincy I would get very scared
I swear 40v2t's sound like the thx intro Definitely the scariest siren ambience I've heard

As I live in Quincy myself, it’s really creepy at night, especially when I’m just vibing then the sirens just start wailing. It’s eerie.
Was that Blessing Hospital in the middle of the shot being illuminated against the lightning?

Oh god i remember this night so well i was delivering grain to a grain elevator in town when the sirens went off i immediately took cover inside the building

Oh I have these sirens to they are super bone chilling even though they only run alert but I heard Kingsville may start doing attack for tests and warnings alike
They’re still not loud enough! I have two a pretty short distance from my home, unfortunately if the wind is blowing (even a little) and the windows are closed I can’t hear them. If I’m sleeping I definitely don’t hear them! 💜

Not meant to be heard indoors. If you can hear them inside then great but they really are meant to tell you to get inside and check the weather radios, news etc
damn those sirens sound creepy

Yes they are, especially when they go off and you don’t know they’re going to go off.
