For 1st Tuesday, Branden (MoStormChaser) and I headed up to Quincy, IL to meet up for a Sentry 40V2T. We met up with Alex (Tornado Sirens) and John (RailsandRoads) |Be sure to check out their channels as well.| This unit is located near the intersection of 24th St. & Chesnut St. at Reservoir Park. Quincy has a total of 7 Sentry 40V2T's mixed between 240V and 480V units. These 40V2T's replaced a system of EOWS 1212's back in 1995. 1 of those 1212's is still standing but is no longer active. Sirens in Quincy are tested on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 10:00 AM weather permitting along with much of the state of Illinois. Enjoy!
