nice video! not sure if i'll play ruthless this league (too much new content and it's hard to check it all out in ruthless), but still was pretty interesting!

For the new t17 maps you probably want to avoid ruthless, yeah, but for the league itself it sounds a lot better, having a crafting league will be huge here and global scarab drops add a whole new layer of dopamine

Thanks for the insightful video. Even though getting specific league content went from a 1/2 chance to a 1/5 after the master rework with 9 blocked mechanics on the tree, I think it will still be okay as the other 9 blocked mechanics block those scarabs from dropping. I think blocking 8-9 mechanics is still the play to instead target specific scarab drops. Basically, we should now more rely on the scarabs dropping, as opposed to the game selecting the specific mechanic from the 1/5 chance, since masters can't be blocked.

shaper and elder help you unlock a lot of the favoured map slots so I don't think it will be that, it will probably involve getting to a certain amount of bonus completion or completing a certain tier of map

Interesting, patch notes do not mention that scarabs can now drop in Ruthless, but those atlas node would suggest that they do. Otherwise those nodes would probably make no sense .
