3.0 LM2 Duramax 2022 refresh silverado one year review.
Just a video going over the high points of my truck and my experience with it. I researched it extensively before my purchase by watching Tim @Pickuptrucktalk and @DemonWorks so if you're looking to see a few more videos I recommend these guys. Have a great day.

Just passed 100k kms. Perfect for highway Cruising. This summer currently 8.5l/100kms highway. Better then my wife’s SUV!!! Plan on keeping this rig for a decade and doing the major belt service
Great review! Just like talking with a buddy. Thanks.

Thanks brother !
Great truck ive got 100km on mine but been fighting the p003a code on it. Eventually i will have to replace that turbo or open it up to clean
Can you provide the links to all your upgrade mods?
I've got the same truck just GMC. You mentioned not being able to see the gear you are in and not being able to see regen status...these bothered me too. I installed the Banks iDash and I now can see that stuff along with lots of other stuff.

Yeah I've seen the I-dash. Slick piece of technology. I'm waiting for the banks tuner and will probably get them as a package.
👍
Given that's the refresh model, that's not the LZ0 engine? I guess perhaps there were a few LM2's with the refresh too? I also have a 2022 LM2, but it's a more basic LT model. 2" levelling kit and Duratrac tires. I don't get anywhere near that mileage given our mountainous area, and really mostly about my tires and lifted front... but average 21mpg overall, and 27-28 on the highway.

It's the 22 1/2 technically. Came out mid year with refresh which still was the lm2. LZ0 was 23. It's more hills than mountains here.

Yeah I would like a little more power but I think lzo uses way more DEF. I'm happy with it . No issues thus far
Some others say it keep eating up a quart every 5 to 7k in miles. Someone did a 50k review on his

Haven't experienced that myself. My 6.2 used half a quarter. My 3.5 eco used a quart . I did use a quart up until 5000 miles. Nobody likes seeing it use oil but it's also super thin 0 weight oils these manufacturers tell you to use. They say it's normal consumption. Personally don't buy it but a quart between changes ....not an issue

I did my first “complimentary” oil change at 5,000 miles and it wasn’t low. Between then and 10,000 miles it was a quart low. Now I’m at 14,000 miles and it’s still exactly where I filled it.
Everything is the same with the Lz0! Nothing noticeable changed specifically hp and trq!😂

You don't notice more power?
I had heard the timing chain will let go at 200,000 or so causing a catastrophic engine failure,Have you heard the same information,Replacement is costly to repair.

I haven't heard any of the gm mechanics talk about it. Mostly rear main seal leaks, some turbo problems and long crank no start issues. I'm sure there is out liers with some other failures .
Worst part of the review is that cardnails sticker.

The way they are playing now I'd agree.
Seats are total garbage. Hard as a rock. My next truck will not be Chevy or GM unless they change this. My cousins f150 and Ram 1500 are WAY more comfortable. Just a heads up to anyone looking to buy, take a 30-45 min drive first.

They loosen up after about 10000. But yeah my 15 high country had the brat seats. Now the high country and zr2 have better seats. I would suspect that these will hold up way longer over the same miles as other seats.
Sell that truck! Engine is going to have really bad issues in the future

What truck do I need then? So far I haven't seen anything major come through any shops .

@@MiddleGroundGarage get the regular dramas or go gas the new 3.0 is going to have a lot of issues because of the 4 piston system it will have 4 times the wear so at 100k miles it will have the wear of 400k and trips to the shop will be expensive due to its unnecessarily complicated design. These will be filling up used car lots in a couple years. Avoid the headache.
