Thank you! I decided I prefer to do this stitch one colour at a time, skipping the other colour. Also I found that working on larger needles helps to keep it not too tight. I just cant mange knitting with two colours at the same time.

You are my knitting hero. I feel like I'll *never* get to this level of skill, I'm still so clunky and so afraid of making mistakes it holds me back from progressing to more complex patterns. I'm teaching myself by watching You Tube videos and there's not a lot of help for the mistakes I make along the way so I often can't figure out where I went wrong and just tear everything back and start all over again. *le sigh*

I've been knitting for 50 years now, but my work is not as nice as yours. You're very talented. I love this sock very much and I'm hoping to find it on your channel. I'm a new subscriber, so I'm just now working through your videos. You're a great teacher, everything is very clear and concise. I can do continental knitting, but my stitches are always way too loose (I tend to knit loosely anyway no matter how hard I try). I hope I can work on that so these socks don't look funny with some stitches really loose and some tighter. I notice that you work at the tips of the needles. I will have to concentrate on doing that and maybe it will help my tension.

Thank you! The yarn is Blue Moon Fiber Arts SOCKS THAT ROCK, lightweight. I do not remember the color name, but you can do this sort of work with any multicolored yarn paired with a solid or semi solid. Be careful to choose two yarns that do not contain the same color. If the same color is in both yarns, the pattern will disappear when those two colors are next to each other. Hugs and Happy Knitting.

+Susan, the first thing I learned is socks on DPN's I've always done them top down, 3K+1P ribbing, I always wash them by hand, so I still have some old timers, now I want to learn Toe Up and just love this Corrugated 2X2 - with clear instructions, I can do it.

Hello, thanks for a fantastic demonstration. I have not seen kntting like this with two circulars, I can't quite imagine what is happening, at each round I guess the project is just transferred from one pair if circulars to the other? Can you say what the advantage is of that over using just one small circular , I'm not keen on magic loop technique and am more familiar with dpns but have just started with circulars. Thanks again fro another great lesson.

Hello Mary, I use two 24" circulars for knitting small diameter in the round projects. Each needle holds half of the stitches. You always knit with both ends of the same needle. Never knit with both needles. Try it and see what you think. 🧶

It is very similar to magic loop. Instead of having half the stitches on one part of the cable and the other half on another part of the cable, you just use two cables and split the stitches. Some day I will make a video on it. But I am sure you can find some good KZread videos on how to do it. It is my preferred method.

I truly enjoy learning new skills from you. May I ask, what kind (brand) of needles do you use? I'm thinking of investing in another set of needles for finer work and wondered if you had any recommendations.

Is the way you hold your needles and wrap your knitting a recognised style or are you left handed? I have never seen this method before?

I knit in the continental style. It is a commonly recognized style of knitting. That means that for general knitting, I hold the yarn in my left hand. For stranded work, I hold one yarn in each hand. The dominant in my left hand. I am right handed. Many, many people knit this way, but not as many as who knit holding the yarn in their right hand.

What is the stitch at the bottom of the sock? It kind of looks like two color honeycomb brioche but I don’t think that it is.

I was starting to come to the conclusion that you were using two 3-pointed needles! An absolutely beautiful top to the most beautiful sock I've seen in a long time! Bless you.

I really like this style of ribbing and have used it several times. My problem is - I don't know how to describe it precisely - when I purl I seem to use an excess of yarn for those 2 purl stitches and have to use a 3rd needle to pull up the excess yarn. it happens every time I use this stitch. I'm a tight knitter anyway, and don't want to pull the yarn too tight and lose my floats... any suggestions... anybody?

I have been trying the corrugated two color ribbing and can't figure out how to handle the ws row (flat knitting, not in the round). And how do I cast on with two colors?

I usually cast on with one color and work a garter ridge before I start the corrugated ribbing. That gives a nice edge in one color. Then start the ribbing. When working a WS row you will need to hold the floats to the WS (towards you) as you work the ribbing. I hope this helps. I am adding this idea to my video list. Thank you! The Starry Starry Night Socks use a 1x1 corrugated ribbing. There are links to videos throughout the pattern for help, including 1x1 ribbing. Thank you and enjoy the pattern.

I understand the corrugated ribbing but, how does it relate to colour jogs - is that a non-issue with this technique and, do we need to worry about setting a place marker? I couldn't tell from the vid how you are identifying the end/beginning of your rows.

When using circulars or dpns, you can use the starting tail as your place marker. It will always be at the start of one of the needles. Generally, in stranded knitting, you don't need to worry about jogs, they seem to just blend in. Most of the time. There are always exceptions. Happy knitting.

Try steaming it a little or blocking it, before anything else. Often that will solve the problem. Otherwise, you may need to go down a needle size if your gauge changed during the corrugated ribbing. Let me know if either of these work. Happy knitting.
