Some people think punchlines are the only way to be lyrical even if they are talking about B.S. To me finding slick ways to talk about drugs and women on every song doesn't make you the best rapper. Pac was the greatest at making songs. He was a story teller. He had a message and he communicated it better than most. He made music for everyone and he sprinkled in some punchlines when necessary. That's my definition of lyrical

I’m not saying this with bullshit but Tupac is a mythological figure he’s the goat 🐐 of this rap shit and to me it’s not even close we will never witness another person like him his mentality, his personality, his way of thinking, his knowledge, his writing ✍️ skills, and he was only 25 with the experience of someone 500 years old Tupac I can say was the complete package and he lived ten lifetimes in 25 years the shit he accomplished in those 25 years I don’t think will ever be done again if I start naming all of his accomplishments and accolades I will be here all day all I gotta say is simply the best better than all the rest RIP 🪦 to The Eternal Goat 🐐 Tupac Amuru Shakur hopefully 🙏🏾 you got in

The reason why many say Pac is not lyrical is because all his beats are 🔥. I understand, the beats alone can drown out the lyrics, which makes sense. Once people focus and study the song more clearly while tuning out the beat, they will truly understand 2PAC was a lyrical genius. GOAT.

I just found u and I’m 72 yrs old mother and grandmother from the BAY AREA we love TUPAC I watching reactions to see the young people try to understand why they like his music more than these mumble rapper I’m so tired of every white rapper saying they are the best like Eminem Eminem is on a different lane I give him respect after my rapper son told me that PAC mother gave him songs that he also produce the Loyal Lp and Dre. I think Dre was trying to leave Death Row and when TUPAC came that was his out my daughter is a professor at Morehouse and her student is sociology be discussing his song also at UC Berkeley there is a class being taught every semester since he died and I am from Berkeley but living in the ATL but no mountains no ocean so I watch reactions and I know music 60, 70, 8090 I’ll seen the best artists punk rock rap jazz R&B so keep up the good work I love that you keeping his knowledge and message reaching this generation great work and I’m a new fan& subscriber 😊

He was so comfortable when he came home and you see parks, then on the corner downtown some time smoking a cigarette, my son said he was a very gifted talented. Hi Rich in the source magazine that he said at the next election he was gonna be sitting across from the politician because if he got 10 million followers or whatever that’s votes so I really started to worry about him after that I am a very political person and PAC was raise by a great revolutionary revolutionists mother, aunt in. Cube who on FBI most wanted list and his uncles & godfather he came out of the wound being great because of his genes

I used to think big was better to0. But as I got older my opinion changed . The problem is his bars go over most people’s head. Unless you know the whole backstory . But yea , you can literally feel his anger on this album . Fresh out of jail , was shot before , felt betrayed . Plus deliver and cadence takes it to another level . Pac was like a rabid dog banging out all those songs in such a short period of time .

People confuse being lyrical with rhyme complexity. Being lyrical encompasses it all. Flow, rhymes, tone of voice etc. Pacs rhyme structure isnt complex but he made up for it with by knowing how to write. I believe his time as the art school was the reason why. He writes like a poet mixed with hip hop. His verses have meaning and punch while staying on beat. The man is lyrical no question. Very few artists make you feel their music. Hes one of them. With all eyez on me, he had the very best producers to highlight his words. Before i felt that was lacking. Me against the world was the first album where production started to match him. This album blew it away. Between dj quik, dre and warren g, he had a murderers row of production.

Pac had songs with complex rhyme schemes and metaphors and stuff like that in his more underground songs and unreleased joints as well. Songs like Blasphemy and Me and my girlfriend is a double entendre throughout, then he had amazing rhyme schemes like his 3rd verse on Me against the world, Troublesome '96, All Out, Holla at me, Got my mind made up, etc. He didn't lack that at all and actually proved he could be a top tier lyricist when he wanted to, but it wasn't his main style
