Was lucky enough to see this live at a mobb deep, raewkon, ghostface, cappadonna show. Small venue. These dudes killed it! The whole crowd knew every word! Diverse crowd of all kinds of people, everyone all spittin the lyrics. RIP P
"one take" this is the analog era. Music was recorded on tapes. You couldn't just punch in like they do now. Verses had to be done in one or two takes pretty much.
Really appreciate you giving this a listen. Wu-Tang, these dudes change my life when I was a kid. I honestly don't know where I might be if I didn't have these dudes words when I was younger
Havoc is from queensbridge prodigy is from long island
Best 50 song of all time imo
One of the best hip hop songs of all time.
Next do "life's a bitch by nas ft AZ and Olu dara"
Mobb Deep - Survival of the Fittest (what pissed off Pac) M Deep - Hell on Earth (album version with two Prodigy verses) Mobb Deep - Back At You Mobb Deep & Nas - Give it Up Fast Prodigy - Keep it Thorough Prodigy - Don’t be a follower Mobb Deep - Rare Species
Biggie is talking about choosing sides I'm from the East Coast I live out there so don't go there...even if there is beef...im not beef with the whole west coast...at the same time... I like to chill in the West Coast too
Notice there's no hook on. Straight thru to the point.
My man, you are bridging the gap between rap listeners today who think rappers today are in the category among the "GOA" rappers from the stand point of just rapping. Keep listening and you will soon discover Rakim, KRS1, Kane, more G-rap and plenty of other lyricist that knew how to take you on a natural high of word play. Love your reactions and keep playing that quality shit.
If you ever saw 8 Mile that's probably where you heard this beat.
Nas is like. This track you should react to. He rapping, teaching, speaking , on street life and strife and wrong and right. He is the G.O.A.T.
Johnny Blaze is a Marvel character in Ghost Rider. Some Wu-Tang members had names like Marvel characters. Ghost face Killa is also Tony Starks!!! Method Man is Jon Blaze!!! So if something was hot, it was John Blaze sh#t!!!
Biggie is goat 🐐
Saying Nas is a week raper 😂 that person Nas can destroy their whole dam record label pac even can't compete with moob deep fake thug 😂
I dont like biggie because people start dissing Pac when he was dead thats why i respect 2pac when he said in troublesome people talk shit but thats after i'm gone cause they fear me in the pysical form no one had the heart 2 call him out when he was alive only sneak dissin he called names and people out thats why he is the goat no fear
Honestly this just scratches the surface of his capability gotta react to more
Running from the police original verson is 🔥 🔥 ft Pac and Big
Pun is my goat too🤷🏻♂️
My 🐐, you should react to hell on earth (front lines) or extortion ft method man
On some professional ish 😂😂😂 and he truly was a professional. Elite rhyming
Homie was doap, supa doap
They both Gemini of course they (we) great
This is Wu-Tang Clan Rza Gza Ol’ Dirty Bastard Inspectah Deck Raekwon the Chef U-God Ghostface Killah Masta Killa Cappadonna Method Man
I love Tupac, but mobb deep gotta give it up man they’re up
🐐
I don't think pac was bigs enemy like big was pacs enemy. I think after awhile he had to hold himself down a little Pac fans feel like he should have took all that and not said anything
Everything ain’t got shit to do with tupac. Tupac wasn’t getting money like that yet and when he was worth it Suge Was robbing him. The difference with a Biggie and a Jay-Z They never heard to pay outta pocket for Party favors.🍾🚬the labels guaranteed it. They wont pay pac for a platinum album or pay his bail. What was there to be envious about. Dollars make cent/sense, that don’t. Only dumb ignorant ni@@as believe ignorant shit.
@DexTV he was talking about DeHaven
check out bosses lady too..he went crazy on that
I hope someone told you this Song isn't about Pac so enjoy it.There are new people drawing conclusions and connecting dots that ain't connected in sbout theses past rap beefs. No one from our generation ever put this song in that category because it's not...
This 2nd verse is by far one of the most underrated verses of all time
Got dat Dutch, they used Dutch Masters back in the day
Came out not many years ago that streach was apart of setting him up
Bruh, please check out Cormega ft Mobb Deep “Killaz Theme”…murderous
Kendrick not even the king of LA 😂
Definitely need to hear Part ll Cam'ron verse was legendary 🔥
Wow I’m shocked that you have no idea who Jeru da Damaja is. Check him out!
BIG’s verse was Light years better even though Hov’s verse was still nice!
Bobby Hatfield had a very rare voice for a man called a called a countertenor. It's equivalent to a high soprano. He had a 4.5 to 5 octave range. He'd probably still be alive if not for a cocaine induced heart attack in 2003.
Wait hold up but did your brother compare the goat biggie to Drake? HAHAHAHAHAHAH Disown your brother!!
Boogie Down BX in the building baby,Terror Squaaaaaddd!!!
I seen this song performed in a concert. Biggie was upcoming and THEY HAD THE NERVE TO BRING HIM 😢OUT AS THE OPENING ACT FOR Brand Nubian…I’m from Philly! This concert was in Philly,I swear after Big’s performance no one wanted to hear Brand Nubian. When the fight broke out they were at least 50 dude’s on stage fighting. And when they went back to party and bs the crowd went bananas and solidified Biggie. That day he arrived in Philly and trust me we understand rap. Our emcees are always tough to beat and we took (earned) a big part in the hip hop industry and culture.
Glad to know I am not the only one who re-listens to pac verses b4 the whole track like this. Some underground pac songs I like are road to glory(short but sweet more like a poem) till my dying day(poor recording quality but it’s a pac song) I think these 2 are not well known.
Technology back then when they made this was a little bit different lol you would see way more collaborations together in studio
They are naming different parts of Brooklyn
That beat was used in 8mile
Bandana P! You might as well go on and do "Self Conscience "
Pure ruckus. Still bang to this when I do the fitness. If this don't get you amp you're as dead as corpses rigor mortis from Dr. Kevorkian's camp. This the type of heat you don't even need a Rony Seikaly throwback Miami jersey.
