The feeling of that first kick really is amazing. Your husband will be blown away when he can finally see your tummy move, and feel the kick. It’s unbelievable! I recall we were at the dinner table with friends, when my daughter actually kicked my plate and it moved. Everyone at the table were amazed and in shock. I will never forget that as long as I live. My daughter turned 40 this year.

I felt my daughter move at 16 weeks and I would drive home with my fingers pressed against my belly because that was the time she was the most active. I could feel little tiny movements with from the outside. And I will never forget that my husband got to feel her move for the first time on father's day that year! She is now 8 going on 16. Lol

Oh, so wonderful to see an update and to know that you are doing so well!! With my second son I had severe nausea for 5 months non stop and the moment that finally went away, the heartburn started! When you have issues with pregnancy, but esp when you’re older, while it’s so exciting-it’s also very scary- but there are these amazing moments that you just cannot describe how amazing it truly is- when I first held my kids, I tried to explain the feeling I had, to my husband. It literally feels like your heart is hot-like I could feel the love leaving my body and my heart, and going into theirs. I could FEEL the love-congratulations! I had 2 when I was younger and one when I was older - and I have so much more patience as I’m older-they we’re both great experiences-but just different. Good luck, Mommy!

It has been over 30 years since my last pregnancy, and I still miss the way the baby moves. We women, wear a secret smile, when we are somewhere, and the baby moves. It is a precious time. Not so much at the end when it gets painful. Always reassuring. Congratulations!

I hope you have a lovely end to your pregnancy & a healthy, centered & empowering birth. I can promise it will remain surreal even after he comes, as I have moments each day that I look at the little person playing or sleeping or nursing or crying & cannot believe it is my son❤️

Hello from New Zealand, congratulations on your pregnancy. My husband and I have three children 23, nearly 18 and 16. Reflecting on those pregnancies I would like to say that in terms of things for baby, they actually need very little, I bought very basic clothes because I knew I would get gifts. An absolute must was a bath sling to lie them on to make bathing easier. Muslin squares to catch spit up after feeding, diapers of your choice and a really good zinc based cream for diaper rash. These are the things I would have not been without and the things I buy for my for friends who are having babies. I wish you the best, such a wonderful story after all those years of waiting.

I’m so happy for you to be experiencing such a great pregnancy! I had gestational diabetes thru my whole pregnancy, it sucked lol but it had helped me gain control of my body again. 9 months of super clean eating and I lost 30lbs!! And my daughter was born healthy and I feel great. I also had a lot of leg cramps and I would boil some eggs and eat them like that or make an egg salad sandwich.

I just found your pregnancy announcement video and was so glad to see updates about how well you're doing. My second trimester was pretty standard, I had heartburn as well and some cramping but to be honest I think I had a pretty easy pregnancy. I had my little girl at 30 and even though we had no fertility issues it also felt so unreal. Especially at my first ultrasound, I told my doctor the only question I have is: "is there actually a baby in there??".

I never got morning sickness when I was pregnant but the heartburn started at the beginning of the second trimester and went the rest of the pregnancy. I used to sip baking soda and water to keep in down and just to eat or drink anything else was very hard for me. Pregnancy stopped me from drinking soda pop completely. Other than that I loved being pregnant and enjoyed all of it.

Don’t worry too much. Babies don’t actually need much, although it’s fun to buy them stuff. I just had my fourth and there is a large gap between my third and fourth. We have hardly anything for our baby. We don’t have any of the baby gadgets like swings, play mats, a crib, or a diaper change table. We basically have diapering things, a safe place for him to sleep, blankets, and clothing. I hope you are enjoying the last bit of your pregnancy!

I had horrible leg cramps at night really bad during my pregnancy. I didn’t know until my third trimester that if you instantly stand up when you get them it can make them go away. After I learned that, I tried it and it instantly made my cramp go away.

For leg cramps, try eating a teaspoon of yellow mustard. It works and it's fairly fast! I still eat it when a cramp hits. In fact, I keep mustard packets by my bed and in my cars

Feeling the movement is something you will sooo miss!!! I loved it so much, I completely understand that the feeling is so strong that there are no words to describe it ❤ I had heartburn with my second son and it was BAD! I had never had heartburn in my life until then. Thoughts and prayers for you beautiful family ❤

Magnesium should help with the cramping. There are some forms of magnesium that you can apply on the skin and some that you can take orally. Congratulations and Blessings on you and your family. Thank you for the update!

Glad you are not worrying about weight as much anymore. Just be glad you are providing a safe home for baby boy. You seem to me like you will have the necessary self discipline to lose weight when you are ready afterwards. And before anyone jumps down my throat, I am 2 months post partum and do not see that necessary "self discipline" needed for weight loss coming anytime soon.

Make sure you take Magnesium for leg cramming. In re Heartburn, it really depends what and when you eat, just pay attention (especially second part of the day....personally for me it’s: milk, mashed potatoes with butter, bread, pizza, tomato sauce, non-homemade-pasta). With my first I struggled so much, but now with my fourth I rarely have one.❤️❤️❤️

From what I understand, turmeric is okay in normal food and drink amounts, but not as a supplement. But I always advise talking to your care provider!

Acid Reflux: drinking milk, milkshake or eating an apple to calm the flames in the chest...but spicy, fried foods, pasta sauce, or citrus are what causes the acid Reflux as well as laying down right after eating...and not because the infant has a lot of hair 🙄🙄🙄🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣🤣
