Hot Damn!

This combo's performance of Bacharach's "Wives and Lovers'" (40:13 to 51:22) is just ... transcendent. Quite positively THE most interesting cover of this gem that I've heard in ages. Truly, there is nothing like it. These guys -- they are so great together as players, obviously, but also as musical communicators and collaborators.

Sublime -- great ensemble vibe and playing throughout. The groove is epically there. One can't ask for more than that....or can one?

@@stretch54 Foot bass is usually just an accent to his left hand. It adds a punch. He plays foot pedal bass when he plays the trumpet. Barbara Dennerline plats great pedal bass. But is is not stock B3 it has a string bass added to it. kzread.info?search_query=barbara+dennerline&page&
