In this video, we show how to install hood struts on a 2nd gen Tacoma. This will work with the years 2005-2015. This kit makes it easy so you don't have to do any measuring at all.

Nice video Tuan! One note of caution about the changing the location of the fender brackets, at ~ 2:25 mark. The location stated in the instructions was chosen for a reason, and deviating from it may cause problems for some installations. When setting the hood at near-stock height, the passenger strut may hit the windshield washer reservoir when the hood is closed. It won't be an issue for hood heights > ~ 3" above stock, but this is something to be aware of. Even though the bracket feels "loose" at that location, it'll be very sturdy once riveted in place.
I bought some Redline hood struts already too and still need to find time to install mine!
