2JZ 9500RPM RACING VALVETRAIN HOW TO

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hello guys and welcome to my channel. In this episode I will show you the next step on building the 2jz. One of the main factors on building a racing engine is setting proper clearances. In this video I will show you how to install the Supertech solid cam follower, how assemble and torque the components. this setup is capable of handling over 9500 rpm and over 1000hp. Very important if you are planning on 2 stepping or being on the limiter for extended periods of time like in drifting. Thank you Supertech and BrianCrower for supporting my build and allowing me to make these videos for you guys. If you missed a step not covered in this video. It is most likely in a previous episode or I would be more than happy to answer most of your questions in the comments section.
This setup is accompanied by Briancrower dual valve springs and titanium retainers, billet valve keepers and 272 stage 3 camshafts.

When you measured the lash, aren’t you concerned with the angle you’re putting those straight feeler gauges in? The bucket angle is not in parallel to your feeler gauges. Why not use the step feeler gauges to avoid putting at an angle which will cause friction. Am I wrong?
