Here is the story behind this song - In 2019, Sidhu released a promotional song for a movie - Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi. The main actress was shown as a feministic character and in one of the lyrics was compared to Mai Bhago (a reverred Sikh Warrior that fought against Mughals). The controversy started as the video showcased the main actress in somewhat exposing clothes (according to conservative people's standards). Sidhu was in Canada when this started and his house was attacked, his mother was spoken ill words against and protestors gathered around his house throwing stones and putting up hatred (probably from political and religious ulterior motives). Sidhu came on Insta live and assured he didn't mean to hurt any sentiment (he is one of the nicest and humblest guys Punjabi industry has ever known). He edited out the lyrics but once he came back, cases were registered against him on religious sentiment terms. According to Sidhu, he got depressed that instead of coming upto him people attacked his mom and dad (whom he loved a lot, he would release songs on his mother's bday, he would always ask youngsters to respect their parents coz they will be the realest friends they would ever come across in life). After this Sidhu wrote this song and released it in 2021 with the blockbuster album Moosetape (30 tracks, all super hit, in fact out of Sidhu's 150 songs that came in 5 years, nothing flopped). In 2 years after release, Moosetape became the first Indian album to surpass 1 Billion streams. The most legendary artist you would come across from Asia. If you know his life story, watch his interviews and songs (with lyrics), you would know how much fan following across Americans, Mexicans, Blacks and Europeans apart from the Asians, this guy had. He had so much say and impact that everything he said was meaningful, he didn't fear anyone. He was paying tax to Indian government equivalent to what the biggest Bollywood stars earn in an year. He was entering politics, the audience for other punjabi singers went way down. He was himself a label, not gwtting signed with any other company, he owned close to 50% of online revenue from Punjabi music (thr most played and exponentially getting famous across India) . Fearing his power, probably those with money and power, took the chance before he was gonna go on a world tour. It was announced on TV that government had withdrew his security and the next day he was killed while he was driving to meet his aunt by almost 40+ shots by 8 contract killers from an AK 47. All his songs wrote down his story which now make a connection where he had given references to why he was fearless, him getting death threats and who would want to kill him. India lost its one of the youngest and most creative artists to politics.
