This is a Full body Pilates and strength workout with dumbbells to improve abs, arms and glutes strength. This routine is a strength and stretch workout, where we incorporate both pilates and strength moves to strengthen the body and work on stretch as well. This is a 35 min Pilates and strength workout with dumbbells as the only prop. If you are searching for a full body pilates workout for weight loss, this is a great routine for you, as it has more focus on strength training than most pilates workout, which has been shown to be supportive of weight loss goals and can assist in providing a more "toned" look by increasing muscle in the body. This workout contains a warmup, full body workout and cooldown stretch. It is perfect if you are looking for a 30 min full body pilates with weights workout, and would like to improve both your strength and flexibility.

Former 5am gym rat here to say thank you for your videos! I stopped weight training in the fall of 2021, deciding to get an extra hour of sleep and take a 2.5 mile walk around my neighborhood instead. Knowing I really needed to do more, I found your 28 wall pilates challenge a couple of months back and loved it. I love that I can get a good workout in in around 30 minutes. I'm excited to start this new strength challenge, especially since I know how important using weights is for women as we age. Thank you!

These types of workouts might be my favorite. As you know I began your workouts Jan 1 - I started them in prep for my trip to Iceland for which I leave tonight. Plan to do a lot of hiking so I'm hoping that all of the Pilates I've been doing will serve me well. Will be back with you end of May. Oh my goodness. I have a number of excerise videos but have never stuck with it. I downloaded the 28 day challenge for beginners and completed it. Love it!!! Now for a bit more intensity . Music is great too. Not head banging stuff.

Okay, I'm ready. Just finished the 28 days wall Pilates challenge and really enjoyed the workout each day. Now I feel that I'm ready to tackle this next challenge. Typically walk 2.5 - 3 miles a day. When I walk now I can feel the increased strength in my abs, glutes and legs. Bring it on!

I really like these type of workouts, and also like that you explain very thoroughly (although one small comment, how to breath should be explained more at the beginning of the exercise). Overall I didn't find the workout very challenging, used 4k dumbbells throughout, but let's see, maybe I will be pretty sore tomorrow

Thanks so much! If u have the ability I would used heavier weights. These can be a little slower with the explanations. I’m working on shortening the rest in my future workouts to make them more challenging!

HI Rachel, this was another excellent workout! Really enjoyable, and the time goes really quickly! I was wondering how long a workout you recommend doing each day to see results? Like the short videos, would you recommend doing 2 of them a day? I also mix it up other cardio. But this is the most enjoyable exercise ever! Thanks again.

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoy these workouts. Yes the challenge videos are on the shorter side, I wanted to make it that way to keep it a "beginners" challenge. Results will vary depending on the activity level prior to starting, but in general to follow the ACSM physical activity guidelines I would aim for 150 min of activity per week for moderate intensity exercise like this. So 30 min 5x a week for example (pilates + your cardio) would be a great goal to aim for! You can add my workouts with more weights to make your wall pilates workout longer if you like!

You can add more if u like by adding in a walk or doing another video. I don’t do diet advice but I would recommend the app Carbon- Smart Diet Coach

My whole body was shaking by the end! This would be a cool workout to add to a short cardio .. Or like... Add some jump squats and lunges to get the heart rate up. Still got sweaty though 😅

The universe was against me this morning! Had planned a 30 minute run with my partner … but woke up and it was pouring with rain 🙄 then I couldn’t get the links to work for 30 day challenge … did an Ab sculpt workout instead … and now I’ve sorted the links so Day 1 ✅ great workout Rachel, I was a little wobbly in places 😂 but that’s something to work on … hoping the rain will stop so we can do run later 🤞🏼

Yes absolutely! This is my hardest challenge with the longest workouts and most intensity. It builds up quite a bit from here. I hope u like it!!

This was hard…. I am not strong enough for the plank, what can I do instead? Not even with my knees in the floor- I just can’t lift my stomach….. otherwise I loved this workout… I like the multi use of every stage of the routine. Have a lovely day! Best regards Linda

Did this and it was great! My arms were shaking. I’m a beginner at it all but kept up with this. Started with your 28 day challenge for beginners. Did 3 weeks and took a week off because of the busy schedule. Saw this layout for the week and love this idea. Question?….Is Saturday both videos or is it one Saturday and one Sunday? Thank you.

You could! I think my plan is to do it in the fall but likely on another platform. So much of my audience is now non reformer users and it confuses them. I would love to film a 28 day reformer challenge with all new videos and have it just be one price people can pay to access it all, instead of a monthly subscription! I’ll post updates on here and my IG about it 😊
