He was studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses and understood what Jesus said would happen is happening now. God lets us know what’s going on. We can figure out by doing what Prince did, study the Bible. We have the assurance of Jesus and his Father to be happy about.

And although I decided it was not for me I never regretted the insight and studying I received I’n doing so. Prince always encouraged discovering and investigating new things and encouraging ones personal journey. He was brilliant and left his mark on the world❤️

Greatest ever. One of my biggest inspirations in life/music. I cried like a baby when I found out he died. Two of my very best friends played in a band with Jessie Johnson and when Jessie joined The Time, my friends were brought around Prince a lot and have a LOT of extremely cool and unique Prince stories. I always love getting them to re-tell them and so fourth.

That would've been amazing. It really would have. I think he tried to create someone like a Sade when he found Bria Valente, I think, but the songs she and Prince made didn't sound as good as Sade. Sade has a smoothness and effortlessness about her that's very hard to match.

For those of us that watched this whole interview. How incredibly wonderful it was. The world hasn’t felt the same since Prince was taken by the pharmaceutical industry on April 21st 2016. He was mysterious...secretive...dramatic...sexy...deep and passionate and spiritual being with so much talent...so sad he left this earth...I saw his home in Minnesota ...I felt it spoke volumes about him. He gave his all to his fans..rest in peace ❤

The GREATEST there ever was spoke with such poise and CLASS. My God, I STILL miss him.

When I look back at the 55 years I've been alive.....I realize how fortunate I am to have lived in/around so many great artists' careers. Prince was without question, one of the most influential, talented, and gifted performers my generation has ever seen. His work will go well beyond all our lifetimes..... we should be thankful for having lived during his.

He will come and spend time with you if you call upon him. He is always forthcoming and he still loves music but in a different way now if that makes sense. But sometimes when you are like half asleep and half awake he will slide on in your dreams and just talk with you and chill. Try it sometimes

I had tears while falling asleep and in my dreamy sleeping state I heard the door bell ring and I thought it was Prince. I was sure it was.

Eloquent, insightful, gentle, humble, gifted beyond all measure. He was the Mozart of the 20th century and no one could touch him musically. His loss is enormous and I just hope that if reincarnation is true that his next life gives him the opportunity to continue creating and gifting the world with the gifts God gave him in this life.

When he fisrt came on the scene other than his music so much mystery surrounded this man it was such a joy to see him progress and open up and let us into his heart and mind , even though he is no longer with us his influence and genius will keep us in awe he will betalked about and studied for decades to come his mystery never ends.

Hard to put into words...wonderful but heartbreaking too....No matter how beautiful you are, whom you marry, what places you occupy, charities you support, how faithful you are, how much money you accumulate or what good deeds you perform, in this society racism will still follow you.

My god we need this kind of man and we may never see another. What an amazing mind and soul he was. I will never stop missing him.

Oh whoever made this channel is a godsend. Prince was just .. beautiful, majestic, ahead of his time and totally unique from any other artist. He has a story teller type of flow when he speaks, he doesn't rush, takes time to answer, carefully chooses his words etc. And he was so much more than an artist and musician. He's one of a kind. Prince vs Michael Jackson?

Love this interview... or any Prince interview that's longer than 3 minutes. He doesn't do many of them. And I like when they go into deep stuff like this. When he talks about how he has a mean side, but doesn't lash out at people and it's about love-- that sounded like a good lead in to talk about "Feel Better/Good/Wonderful". And what he says about liking female vocalists and that's why he sings in falsetto in ballads- I knew he was more comfortable with that part of his voice and that's why he used it prominently in the beginning, but that figures into this as well. I mean, his falsetto is amazing- the amount of emotion he brings to it is out of this world. And that vulnerability and being comfortable within that- all of us aspire to be able to combine those things as easily as he does.

Love this interview. I'm a huge Prince fan from "way-back". What impressed me about Prince is that he was always exceptionally talented and created some outstanding music but his later music clearly showed his growth as an artist and as an individual. There was a 'progression' in his music over time. He wasn't doing the exact same music that he had started out doing.

Well. lots of musicians, singers have changed their styles over the years. When they are starting in the music industry, a lot of them are very young. I don't mean Michael Jackson who was 10 or Stevie Wonder who was 13 I think. I mean people like The Rolling Stones, the Motown groups, the Surf Sound (I do not mean the Beach Boys, who sang about surfing, but it was not Surf Rock like Dick Dale played. He was referred to as the "King of the Surf Guitar" Listen to the Ventures and other Surf Rock bands. For the record, only one of the Beach Boys actually surfed. So as these young musicians, singers grew up of course they changed. That is part of growing up. I think most people tend to like the music they grew up with unless it was old people music. My mother did not listen to music much. I think the younger parents tend to be more likely to listen to some of the same music their kids listen to. Now with women waiting til they are 40 to have a baby (a terrible idea if ever there was one. Forty year old women claim they have an infertility problem. There is no infertility epidemic; there is an epidemic of women who think they can wait as long as they want to have a baby. Mother Nature is telling them they missed the boat. And a girlfriend I used to have once said that if you wait til you can afford to have a child, you will never have one. That certainly would have been true for me. I had my first at 21 & 8 yrs. later had another & 5 yrs. after the second, had the last. We did not have money, but all three are very successful. Money does not make you a great parent, or make your kids happy necessarily & I have known a lot of rich kids who are miserable. BTW, did you know that many yrs. ago Prince and his lady friend had a baby. I'm not sure if they married. The baby was born with a fatal birth defect, and died shortly after birth. So sad.

A lot of people criticize Prince for wearing unisex clothes or high heel shoes or platform I have to tip my hat to him because being a part of a marathon running a race wearing heels to give back and volunteering a lot of men had on stiletto and women to, it was the most exciting thing besides gay pride but within history people wore high heel shoes Kings of Queen of course and Prince and princesses . so when a man can't get on stage and rock high heel shoes without a doubt looking so sexy, you have my blessings . Prince never discriminate of helping others identify themselves male or female. For those who criticized him for having a unisex look probably the same ones wearing high heels stiletto shoes and fishnet stockings. it's a new day and age we all can go without the hate crime and love one another and if you can't do that at least love yourself.

I know Prince is a Jehovah Witness and I have gone to a few of his concerts where he did like a public speaking as well as far as in giving a speech about his life changing as the Jehovah Witness and he never discriminate or people in general especially when his fan base are heterosexual or homosexual he doesn't discriminate a person livelihood especially when to his band members were same-sex gotten married

And also God created all mankind within his angels Lucifer is his first angel not knowing if he was a man or woman of all many other angels if you really look at their pictures back then they do look either a man or woman and he God did make us in His image so yes believe it in the word of God and the Bible I would never prejudge or misjudge or miscalculate anything by having hatred on God's creation and I've come across many women that can pass off of being just a beautiful man and vice versa I have come across many men Spanish Indian elect can pass off as a beautiful woman

yes. genius. he could play 27 instruments...which he played all of them on his debut album...For You.

All Prince fans go on about his multi instrumentalism. We get it !! He’s amazing technically. I just never found his work as consistently inspiring as Madonna who was a better melodist and conceptualist. He was a better musician obviously.

I miss Tavis on PBS! I set my schedule to every episode. I missed some though. This is one of my favorite.

One of the most extraordinary & surreal musician/composer I've listened to in my lifetime . Rest in Peace & Love Prince.

The one person I never got to see in concert. And now it's too late😭

I still miss that man. He was taken much, much too early. I’m so thankful that his music will live on forever.

This comment section needs new stuff so, The way he spoke is so elegant and well thought out. I swear to you he was the only person to make people feel comfortable while keeping an intelligent and classy aura.
