The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

This stream had excellent play by both for 2 straight days, some hot runs by both (like Krabby all of day 1 into 2.) It had excellent commentary by Mike Brady, who was in the “chat streets” engaging in an active chat which also hosted some big names from around the poker community. It was an all-around fun, entertaining, educational, enjoyable stream for anyone regardless of skill level or interest in poker. Excellent work by everyone involved and I really hope to see a lot more content like this.
10:15 sick move on the river with Q2s ... just sick
He may not be a Linus Love or Limitless in 6 max and full ring, but arguably the greatest ever HU NLH player
Congrats to Doug who seems to have recovered from drawdowns! Turns out he won't need to wait the rest of his life to recoup his losses on KZread.
That 74 hand was interesting. Im probably calling there. Love the lodge
Need to see this match, Krab is an absolute bot. These guys will be putting on an absolutely next level HUNL clinic 💯
It's 2023... Where's the 4K resolution???
Nice to see Doug its a good Sports Men 👍 and i think Top 3 Players 2023 in HU…. I want to see him in Omaha again 🤩
Is the spoiler in the title necessary though?
The AK vs K8, was just poor playing by Kevin, imo. Just calling, and allowing Doug to get there? Just a strange play, in my mind.
'HONEY I DID NOT SEE MYSELF FOLDING"
4c horrible blocker. Kc useless blocker as blocking AK is useless. Not betting the turn is debatable as if you give up turn u have to give up river and then underestimating doug’s XB range strength ott and MDF otr is clearly a mistake.
He was the best heads up player 15 years ago and STILL the best today.
QQ vs KK The commentary “ These are really 2 good hands!” Ya no shit
Those chips are too big, Doug. Time to produce some smaller ones so that dudes with smaller hands can also annoy everyone with the constant shuffling of the chips.
Doug has a weird blinking tell when he has it... I finally spotted what Charlie was talking about...

Yeah idk. At first Im seeing a steady blink going on the whole time has it or not.
congrats doug
I had to watch this in 2x. Kevin 2 min tanks every street of every hand was tilting
So many spots for Kevin to check raise turn, and he just calls
Heads up has passed me by a lot of these plays just do not register with me at all.
i like inviting ppl around to my place and taking their money too
Respectfully to the commentators if there heads up there is gonna be more hands seen vs a standard 8 or 9 seat ring game. Longer time less hands less chance for aces Six is still outrageous haha

They were referencing running headsup with one dealer versus headsup with 2 dealers and how it really enhances the feeling of not being able to hide at all. As soon as you finish one hand, the next is already dealt to you instead of waiting for the cards to be shuffled and dealt.
Omg I realised something, the players play with chips to make noise and keep out attention span on the video !
He looks like LuckyChewy but before he went crazy
mike, your analysis is not true, heads up even 300 blinds deep 4 betting is much wider than you think. KK is a pure 5bet up to almost 500bb deep
@rawkurface
Жыл бұрын
Doug doesn't 5 bet raise at 300bb. He calls or jams and KK is heavy call. Costs minimal EV to take the 5 bet raise out of the tree and makes large pots easier.
That’s crazy that the dealers are so slow there has to be two of them 😂
Doug's continuous chip shuffling was annoying
Kevin seemed like a fish in this, when he ran well he got the least amount of value and when Doug had it he picked shitty times to bluff…
I would never play the owner of a club, especially one who has rfid readers in the cards, it's just so unfathomably easy to cheat. Y'all think this game is on the up and up?

U are aware that Kevin and Doug are actually good friends, prob also business partners. This match was more of a show match. There is zero risk in the integrity of this game....

It’s a good hand heads up. Most high cards are good especially when they’re suited

This is probably in the video- but he five-bet with K4s & Doug had AJs. Flop & turn checked through (ace came on the turn) then Krabs shoved the river with K high. Doug said “I’m (probably?) not folding or something similar a few times then made the call. That was kinda the turning point around the 2-hour mark on day 2 after Kev ran super hot day 1 and into day 2. You could tell Doug was a little frustrated (and who wouldn’t be??) but proved he’s stil one of the best and kept playing great poker. This was truly one the best streams I’ve seen in years. Great play, great (and often surprisingly honest) table talk which was educational & nothing short of captivating. Even if your take on the stream differs my own, I wouldn’t argue unless someone were to say this wasn’t ENTERTAINING. Great commentary once again by Mike Brady, active chat with commentators and folks from the poker community in the mix… just a great watch no matter your skill level or what you look for in poker streams.

It's heads up, you can't fold K high hands waiting for an ace. Any king is well above average heads up.
@cedricchinn232

@sylvainguinepain5624 yeah I get that but he did a lot of 3-betting and a few 4-bets. I only ever play full ring so it's just something u noticed. Have to be more aggressive with your removal and value hands vs all possible hands heads up. Thanks foe the analysis
Can’t believe this dude lost 200k next to a whataburger

300* my bad, also how do you even lose that much. Nobody can afford to lose that unless you’re making it weekly and I highly doubt he is

Why does it go from Doug to have 80k to 235 ? Can we please see that hand in time
