What a perfect runout for you in that Aces vs Kings hand! That 5-bet action basically guaranteed that you both only had Broadway cards. Love to see you branching out your game!

Burst out laughing at “bink turn” when the J came giving trips. Right when Doug has a pot of aces. Luckbox + poker skills is so tough for anyone to compete with. Poor Doug 😅

uh i can...thats literally why I commented the way I did. I bet if Rampage played a much longer game he'd eventually lose as Doug is just one of the best at heads up. Taking Doug to the cleaners is an accomplishment on paper, but taking AA > KK and KK > AK in heads up is nothing but coolers.

I've learned so much from watching your vlogs and 8:30 in was something I've contemplated for a while. I usually play it overly aggressive to get the fold at low stakes, but seeing how it played out this way was really good as a learning experience! Hopefully no one ever River's a possible set when i get my straight 😂

I didn't understand why the ace on the river changed a lot? HU full house vs straight isn't really super likely and a straight beats a three-of-a-kind is there something I'm missing in his though process?

  • @WhiteCharisma

    7 ай бұрын

@@calebwhite6464 quad Ace's. My comment referred to that as a "set" which is just the term I'm used to for quads. It opened up the possibilities of Doug's hand being very strong with how aggressive he was betting and Ethan had to give into thinking Doug had at least 1 Ace and that having the pocket Ace's was still a possibility to lose to despite the low odds of that and a Full House. I'm no pro at all, but I've lost and won this situation online in free poker just learning for fun because I'm a sucker for statistics, but am not willing to put real money on the line!

then I'd have to wonder is shuffling your cards to pick on to decide if you're all in or not...with a player who's at good at cards as Doug is, wouldn't he know which card is which with that shuffle & its save face way of folding? Who knows. One on one must be harder with the probability of some hands changing compared to playing with 5 or 6 others...pretty clever if you can play well with the change in the number of opponents being a real game changer (probablky not better worse if you're across the change in possibles.) But I dunno, I'm a recreational poker watcher, haven't played in many years, think its seriously its now a spectator sport as well a game for players. I never ever would have imagined that would happen pre internet. Keep having fun, its fun to watch 🙂

Glad to hear your getting coached. You're showing a lot of improvement with your decisions and thinking your way through hands. I told you years ago you were going to be a big winner. Just remember playing that aggro style you'll have some big swings, but you'll bounce back if you're disciplined enough to use bankroll management.
