Shot a sambar deer here in aus today and man the 160gr accubonds in 7mm rem mag hammer them. Frontal shot on the point of the shoulder and dropped him on the spot. Bullet recovered in back leg. Im so mad I literally lost the bullet while packing out, but got a pic before I lost it. Textbook expansion like the water tests. They seem to perform so well because they lose maybe 25% of weight and do a lot of damage in the first 12 inches, but don’t expand too wide to slow them down so keep going a long way through. Will exit on a broadside shot but the frontals stop them

A couple of years ago I found a GREAT deal on some Nosler E-Tips that I could load in my 243s but this video scares me. If my muzzle velocity was around 3120 FPS I might have expansion problems on deer sized game out past 300 yards. Granted, I don't take many long shots with a 243, but would still be nice to have that option.

No surprises here. Monos absolutely need as much velocity as possible to perform well. That's why I much prefer bullets like the Norma bondcore. Great expansion even at lower velocities.

I have no experience with the Norma Bondstrike but the Federal EDGE TLR bullets are the best I've used in quite some time in 270WSM & 7Rem mag. I also have zero experience with Monolithic bullets, so I glean as much information from these excellent videos as I can.

One of my favorite rounds until they updated this round with the 6.8 Western, its just better, harder hitting, less powder too all by moving the neck, rifling twist 1 : 7.5 and .07 chunkier technology gotta love it!!! Its those 100-500 yard numbers Winchester really made the most perfect round before becoming a magnum in a short action and LOTS OF AMMO AVAILIBLE!!!!

I head that winchester brass is not good, whats your experience? Currently Winchester is the only company making 6.8, that’s my understanding.
