@@LetThemTalkTV From myself, a North American, I have an "English Speaking" request. When working-conversing in Russia, we had local Russians who did all of our conversational translations. The great majority of these translators were quite good; where I particularly liked it when they would --- because they were trained in a more formal variant of the English language --- help us to clarify our speech. They were always interested in learning more --- to be better translators --- and, to me, I found it very interesting from the grammatical and cultural perspectives. From the translators, one of the most common of their suggestions was that instead of us Americans saying in English "I have to have something", we should use something like "I need to have", or, "I must have ... something". I always liked that particular suggestion because, as a native English speaker, that phrase --- "have to have" --- always sounded odd; perhaps even grammatically incorrect ... or, if it is not, then, maybe it should be. Haha! The other related example, which was particularly directed at our British counterparts, but, not exclusively, was their common application of the phrase, "I've got to have it", which, to be simpler and more direct, should be "I must have it". "I've got to have" ... not only does it sound weird, but, to my way of speaking, it does not sound at all to be grammatically correct. I am hoping that, with a few words, you can address this "critical" matter. Kindest regards.

You are a great pedagogue! I find your lessons highly enjoyable. I have learned a lot inspite I am only listening for fun. And also I get such human warmth from you that puts me in good mood the rest of the day. Keep up the good work!

As an English teacher I can tell you are fantastic man!!! What a fantastic source of knowledge is your channel, English teaching nation should all watch it.

Who doesn't know these words "Once again I seemed to feel that old yearning, and I knew the spark of love was still burning..."? Well, a few, maybe more? All right, a whole bunch, but it's a beautiful song, anyway. Your lessons are always so uplifting! I've just learnt that I'm only 16 key words shy of an advanced level English! I've got a piece of advice for you in return for that. Don't let your uke wait until you have nothing better to do, because your hands may be too stiff then. And eating doughnuts never goes well together with playing instruments. Any instruments. About ten years ago I heard Joe Brown playing the uke and singing "I'll see you in my dreams". I literally upped and went to buy a ukelele, "on a whim" (the phrase is new to me). And I had a lot of fun afterwards. Until last year when two of my left hand fingers started to swell. Nothing serious, but I had to forget about playing a uke. I had to start learning how to play the piano instead. Cheers.

There're some tricky words which have many meanings in English such as "sanction", "labour". I'm sure many English learners know the meaning of sanction an order taken against a country in order to make it obey international law but it has also legal approval, permission meaning. For example: Agricultural companies cannot get official sanction for logging. When an English learner reads this on newspaper, he/she certainly get confused . Labour is another example. İt has also a meaning related birth, again learners will be suprised again when they encounter labour in the first time in a birth related context. Can you make a video about these kind of common words that fluster learners? (By the way, I learned the meaning of "fluster" in this video)

Well i've been in this country for 32 long years and i thought i knew it all. I thought i could speak English fluently, albeit with an Italian accent. But boy wasn't i wrong! There must have been at least 8 of those words in the list i've never heard of. Of course my ability to speak in a good English consists of still being able to formulate a sentence correctly and clearly, but using different verbs and nouns from those 8 in list which were unknown to me. After one year of this video I finally decided to not just write down the words and their meaning, but use some of them in a piece of poem so I can actually learn. Please forgive me if there are any mistakes: Who is she, that enters the room? Albeit I had never seen her an impending doom strikes me in the head Fells like a déjà-vu of some past and her presence deluges through the place Her hair is secure in a unique braid And a yearning to be able to touch it, to feel its softness, possesses me. I pray to suppress my flustered heart I am not lucky enough to memorize her face, I can only retain in my brain the curves of her back She seats in front, yet distant of me. There, in the distance, without seeing me This astonishing being ignites a spark inside me. There, in the distance, I feel her in my blood, in my skin, in my veins. I can't vie for this unknown feeling. I can't hope for her to not feel the same. I can't endure the uncertainty that I know her! But as the time oozes without me noticing I watch her And like a whim, she leaves So then I am left alone again With what might be just the memory of a ghost.
