I love the sound of windy drills in the morning! Another great video - having done a tour on 431MU carrying out major structural repairs at the beginning of the 80s I would love to be involved, but unfortunately I live nearly 500 miles too far north to do so. I will, however, have a look in at East Kirkby the next time I'm 'down south'.

Another great update as always bro, funny how some think the outer skin is only to keep the wind out. Safe travels. Ken.

One of the wonderful aspects of the videos over the years is your ability to solicit patient explanations of the design, materials, and construction techniques that greatly enhances understanding, retention, and enjoyment. Makes your collection even more important from a historical record perspective. Thank you.

Hi Neville, another great video detailing progress of restoration. Hope the centre is aware that your YT vlogs are increasing their profile and quite probably their revenue streams allowing the project to progress at pace!!!

It always amazes me as to how much work is involved in aircraft restoration and with the Lancaster it’s vast, it must be so hard not to loose faith when you see a wall of rivets that need drilling out!! An incredible team working on Just Jane and we on the outside are all made to feel part of it due to your videos, many thanks Neville.

This is proper stuff. Much appreciated this type of content. I hope all of Mr Neville's content is being properly archived for future generations view. This is type of documentation is both educational and historical. As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer I certainly can appreciate this detailed information. Great stuff.

Neville. you are doing a fantastic job in recording the work of a great team of engineers. Makes you think about the effort that was put in during the war - whether it was intiial factory production or battle damage repair. Thank you for all your work and commitment to recording this restoration programme.

Thanks for the update Neville. The guys have been really busy again. Such wonderful workmanship. What a fantastic team they are. Good to see Janes port wing in the jig and being worked on. The rear fuselage looks amazing now. "The middle one looks a bit wonky." 😂 Very funny. Also "Why did you drill there." " Because I felt like it." 😂. Great stuff. Thank you Neville for all your time and effort you put into these updates each week recording the restoration as it moves forward. Best wishes to you mate and to everybody at the centre. Take care.👍

Great update Neville thank you. Sorry we missed you on our visit to East Kirkby on Thursday. It was the first time in 30 years since our previous visit. We were then lucky enough to meet the late Fred Panton who then told us of the coming of Just Jane and his and Harold desire to see the aircraft one day becoming airworthy. Having had the opportunity to speak to Dave and Phil on Thursday one can see Fred's words eventually coming to fruition. Great work by all, very inspiring.

Nev to John ‘So why did you start drilling by there?’ (Nev asking on our behalf half expecting some fascinating engineering based response) John to Nev ‘ because I felt like it ...’ 😂 This had me laughing. I also admit to being in the I thought the panels only really kept the wind out and improved airflow camp, so to discover they contribute 30% of the strength was an eye-opener. Absolutely great stuff Nev, please keep them coming 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Many thanks once again Nev for all of your hard work bringing us these vidoes what would we do without you. OMG the lads have got their work cut out on this wing, looking at it you can now see why it will take a long time to bring it up to airworthy condition.Take care mate and thanks again.

Another breathtaking video showing the skill and thousands of man hours required to make this wing airworthy . It's revealing to compare the safety precautions the "old hands " take compared to young Jacob. That's how it was in days gone by . Thankfully health and safety prevails in t9days world .Thanks Neville

Good way of describing it with the chassis of old cars. Basically a modern car is copying a plane from 80 yrs ago. Just modern materials and crumple zones.

Another great video, thanks Neville. Great to see the wing in the jig, but a question. @ ~21m it looks like the front spar mounting bracket is not firmly bolted to the frame. Is it just a trick of the camera, or the allowance for the angle of the spar?
