We’ve every reason to fear, you aren’t going to guess it right, our dear gansta viewers. No need to keep you waiting any longer. Two of the most important figures of the Straight Outta Compton movie Dr. Dre and 2Pac were under the tremendous influence of Mad Max post-apocalyptic scenery, when they were filming one of the most influential music videos in the MTV history - California Love. The part when he says "Do what the fuck you gotta do, you got the artists, the money, the masses, all your fucking bullshit I'm done". What I can't get over was the movie having Eazy dying before Bone blew up bigtime. For those who ACTUALLY LISTENED TO rap in the 90s, would remember Eazy making a return dis track about Dr. Dre and Snoop WITH BONE THUGS in his video! Also Eazy made this track AFTER Bone Thugs debut album! And the movie also omitted the Dre Day dis track which is basically expressing how they thought Eazy and Jerry Hellar was finessing N.W.A. out of money. Now, to me if they could add Cube's and Wren's dis tracks, why not thee most popular ones from Dre and Eazy E be added?

He left his number of the hotel where he was staying down the street with the hospital staff or friends (can't remember which) to call him when he woke up but that just never happened.

for anyone wondering, the scene with eminem was cut because it proved to be too distracting and a short introduction to eminem wouldnt really have an impact on the movie except for negatively because they wouldnt be able to have enough time to fit him in the storyline organically as opposed to throwing it in there for no reason

  • @josephharris4974

There were 3 big things that showed how much influence Ice Cube and Dr. Dre had in the way the movie was done. (1) The lack of screen-time and influence that other NWA members like MC Ren and Arabian Night had in NWA, (2) The no show of Dr. Dre's trouble with women, and (3) How they portrayed Eazy-E looking like someone who was becoming broke and desperate after NWA broke up while Ruthless Records was doing fine until Eazy-E's death.

Instead there were just bullshit scenes like one where Dre is in a car with Snoop and Snoop makes Dre try the chronic.

***** So you're saying Dre in the film trying the Chronic was a way more important part than maybe the beef that went on with Eazy-E and Dre since the film is about N.W.A. and not just Dre's career? and ***** you must be the dumb one for making the assumption that I wasn't paying "attention" I clearly got the reference but that wasn't my main point. If *you* actually *read* what I put, my point was that there were "more important scenes that were actually to do with the story like the Eazy E and Dre beef" pertaining to N.W.A.'s story. If the film was about Dre's career then that would've been a obvious point to make. Now before you argue that it needed show each individual characters careers, where do you see MC Ren's album "Kizz My Black Azz" or Eazy-E's album "It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa"? Dumbass...

I feel Straight Outta Compton ended up being one big Dr Dre Commercial/Beats Endorsement. No doubt he was the genius behind the sound boards and brought the magic with his perfectionist behaviour, that sonic sound thats timeless. I just felt personally as a fan, they could of shed a bit more light on how Eazy-E sold the records from the trunk of his car, having JJ Fad (a Girl group) break out the label and of course the feud between Eazy-E & Dre. They just had Eazy crying all the time, and although I understand maybe for dramatic license they put in Dre's scene at the hospital with an unconscious Eazy, but the scene's where they had Eazy looking broke as hell with Ren and Yella wasn't true at all. He was still making money off other acts on Ruthless Records and of course the discovery of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. I might be sounding picky as hell, I guess I just wanted to see the hustle&grind of the group. We all know very well Eazy did the ground work and was the money man/investor. I guess all BioPics will have their inaccuracies and incorrect information. Apart from that, I'm glad the story has been told. Just a shame we'll have a generation growing up thinking Dre was the Mastermind , when we all know - that last scene with Suge Knight didn't even happen.

Fact #15 is half wrong. I've been re-watching it today and it had the scene where Easy brings a gun and says that he likes to handle his security the way he knows it. That's how they got guns to that hotel where the dude was asking for Felicia.

Ice Cube did go see Eazy E in the hospital, he just didn't speak to or physically see him because he was too sick at the time to even talk. Cube was going to come back when Eazy could communicate but he ended up never being able to, and later passed away.

Dr. Dre was never brave for yelling in Suge Knight's face in the ending. The part when he says "Do what the fuck you gotta do, you got the artists, the money, the masses, all your fucking bullshit I'm done". Dre was never brave and Suge Knight would've knocked his ass out and plus there's no way Dre would walk outta Death Row and forget to sign his contracts for leaving.

    26. Arabian Prince was a founding member of NWA, he is on the cover of Straight Outta Compton, co-produced and did raps on some of the first NWA tracks, he was in the studio making the music, and he got rubbed out of its history. He was the first member of NWA to leave the group coz he wasn't getting paid. Ice Cube saw this and eventually left for the same reason.
