@@benjulc9271 I will respectively disagree. My only issue with them is they make it so easy by giving the xp share. I turned it off when I played because I thought you had to split the xp, and the game was much more enjoyable/challenging.

Yeah the very first game he talked about at #25 was “profesor Layton miracle Mask” however he was reading the plot of “Profesor Layton vs Ace Attorney”. It’s clear this guy didn’t do any research and was just making a video on some list he found online without caring enough to know anything about these games.

@@cloudlocke yeah Samus returns was One of the last games made for the 3ds. I think it was the second to last game to come out next to the bowsers inside story remake

Sadly to see it fades away in the gaming industry. So far my favourite gaming system which no other gaming console yet to impress me as 3ds did. The huge games library, portability due to its pocket size and the 3D effect which still amaze me until this day whenever I have the chance to try it on the new game. Love every bit of it and I will keep it by my side for another 10 years wherever I go.

I prefer 7 over 8. Might just be that I was burned out from years of 8 and so going back is nice. You can actually still play classic MKDS online as well

This is one of the best systems if you're a Zelda fan. I believe it's the 2nd with the most Zelda games, the 1st being the Wii U if I remember correctly You can get Via Virtual Console: -OG Zelda -Zelda II -Link to the Past -Link's Awakening DX -Both Oracles Games Via DS phisical copy: -Four Swords -Phantom Hourglass -Spirit Tracks And 3DS originals: -Ocarina of Time 3D -Majora's Mask 3D -Link between Worlds -Triforce Heroes -Hyrule Warriors Legends -Twilight Princess Picross The only ones missing are: -Windwaker -Fourswords Adventure -Twilight Princess -Skyward Sword -Breath of the Wild -Minish Cap, which isn't in the 3DS eShop but the Wii U eShop instead.

I agree 3DS and Wii U are the best two systems for Zelda junkies. Bummer they didn't port Minish Cap to a 3DS cart. Oh and don't forget the 3DS has Twilight Princess Picross. I know you weren't counting spin-offs but it's a free game with silver points so hey why not.

I've played all of them and I guarantee that a link between worlds it's the best one by far, smooth 60 fps and amazing graphics, followed by majora's mask (with the fan patch) bc of the camera controlls

I almost cried by this nostalgic feel that came by seeing all those titles 😅

I still play my 3DS, just as much as I play my Switch. Really is one of the greatest consoles of all time.

Same and with how easy it is to mod a 3DS, is just so good. Currently playing a Pokémon rom hack, Radical Red on my 3DS lol

DS and 3ds had some of the best titles in gaming despite their little underpowered hardware. Handheld devs had so much love and charm to their games

i really like the 3d screen without using glasses, i think that 3d effect is pretty good and so innovative on that era. 3DS is a very unique and irreplaceable handheld.

I HIGHLY recommend to everyone with a DS, DSLite, DSi, 2DS, 3DS, etc, to play ALL of Professor Layton games. They are by far my favorite game franchise and i know that if you give it a try you'll love em too. The characters are lovely, the game handle like a cellphone puzzle game but with an interesting story and anime cinematics. PLEASE give em a try. If a Layton game comes out for the switch then im buying the console just to play it for sure!

Sadly not. Mobile is the main niche for handheld gaming. I have optimism as some devs are finally making console quality/handheld game quality instead of being the expected gacha mobile games we mostly get

The 3DS will always have its place. The Switch is more of a small tablet. I want a portable game device the fits in my pocket. Nintendo forfeited the pocket to smartphones. Screw smartphones, they killed mobile gaming.

Ahh this brought up lots of good memories for the console that actually got me back into console gaming. I broke out the 3ds recently to finally play Persona Q2, and that ones a blast after Playing Persona 4 and 5. So many games are still waiting to be played! I loved LoZ:BotW on the switch. The only other zelda game ive ever played was way back nintendo DS era. Now I'm gonna start with majora's mark and A link between worlds. There are some games I have fond memories of but can no longer enjoy since i can't play with/against my friends anymore.

Shin Megami Tensei series is the only reason I got a 3DS & I wasn't disappointed.

Facts, especially since the gameplay is so similar to dread which is finally coming out soon and also cause its the most dramatic remake compared to the original by far and also the oldest.

I still adore my 3ds and 3ds xl. I have tons of games and won't ever ever ever stop playing them or get rid of them. Even with my switch in mind... you can pry my 3ds xl out of cold dead hands.

Monster hunter series was amazing. Me and my friends would buy the games together, meet up to play together every time. It's definitely some of those button-killer games. My shoulder button died at MH4U but a fellow from the local 3ds community offered to fix it. Also, I know Streetpass isn't exactly a game but it's one of the things I really enjoyed about the 3DS

Nice list, although I’m neither a Zelda nor JRPG fan, yet there are still a ton of greats here. I’d have Luigis Mansion in my top 3, along with Steam World Heist, and maybe Shovel Knight.

Yoshi's Woolly World, Yoshi's New Island, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Paper Jam and Superstar Saga, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Ever Oasis, Bravely Default, Code of Princess, Zelda OoT, MM, triforce heros, a link between worlds, Fantasy Life, etc.... and thats only 3DS Games. There are tons of other just DS games that are just phenomenal that even at 34 years old and having a switch and having my 3ds for years I'll never not be excited to replay again and again. I'll never ever give up my 3ds and 3ds xl.

Im missing Ever Oasis.The 3ds has the best library of games with the Ds backwards compability

@@hobojoe5981 I actually play Fantasy Life right now on 3DS. The Content is huge. But i also see why it should be played with other ppl, because doing all "Lifes"(Jobs) alone take alot of time. My play time reached 100h+ already.

The only reason Samus Returns had such lackluster sales was due to coming out on the 3DS at the tail end of its lifespan when it should have been on the Switch instead.

Just picked up a 3ds xl and home brewed it it’s a treat

Hey ... what exactly Ace Attorney has to do with The Miracle Mask (n.25) ? You guys wrote the wrong description for the game. The game that combines both franchises is Layton vs Phoenix Wright, not Miracle Mask.

Booted my 3DS again after 3 years. Of course, I'm replaying Metal Gear Solid 3D. MH4U was amazing, especially when you're playing with your friends. It's what broke my shoulder buttons, though. Good times!

the 2ds is trash (imo) because you cannot close it like the other ones ive tried a 3ds, that actually has 3d, and it hurts after like 20 minutes. so just get the new 2ds xl

I have all of these games, plus around 100 more, mostly physical copies, so that should keep me going for a few years! They look pretty amazing on my dual IPS screen New 3ds XL😁

Great list. My only criticism here would be that Fire Emblem Fates gets included but only by being put next to awakening, in the same way they treat pokemon x and y. The difference here is that where pokemon x and y are essentially the same game, awakening and fates are different games, otherwise why do we have 3 different places for different pokemon titles. So by right fates should hold it's own place or all pokemon games should only take 1 spot here

Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Yeah... a Mega Drive Game for 3DS. I know this list is made by votes, but if i compare the "best Games of a System" it should be exclusive, otherwise you must fill the other places with good VC SNES Games too, lol.

I've always thought the same thing. Best games lists should be made up of exclusives and/or games who's definitive version is on the console.

thanks for the list. I have a Switch but I still love bringing my 3DS XL with me when i travel. It's built tough... the battery lasts... idk. I just like it. I don't think i'll ever sell it.

I know, right? I love playing my switch in bed or on the couch but if i’m going somewhere, I’d rather bring my 2ds or 2ds xl.

@@crystaloliverproductions1339 - Same! I play my Nintendo Switch in handheld mode at home, but outside and during travels, till this day, I still carry my Nintendo 3DS with me. Currently trying to get ALL level 4+ weapons for each character. I will go back to Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate and Fantasy Life soon. I still have to collect the letters KONG in the (brutal) K levels of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. The N3DS is a great dedicated handheld, but it is still missing genre’s I like, such as a real NBA basketball game, games like Contra and Metal Slug, and side-scrolling beat em ups like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, although SoR 2 3D is available via the éShop.

Can we request hexen doom 1 and 2 also wolfenstein 3d and also starwars dark forces all in 3d as eshop downloads for the NN3dsXL which happens to be the best handheld ever crafted to this day!

I'm playing "Super Mario bowsers inside's story" now 😁

On the 3ds you could play the 4-7 Pokémon generations. Really a Pokémon fans dream.

Fire Emblem: Echoes - Shadows of Valentia was my favourite Fire Emblem and 3DS game of all time. Awakening was amazing but Echoes improved upon everything, IMO.

Even with roms you won't get the 3d effect without a 3ds system. One of the best systems made.

0:30 for someone praising professor Layton you didn't realize that you're discribing "Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney" but list and show gameplay for "Professor Layton Miracle Mask"?? XD

I'll never forgive Nintendo for making Super Metroid exclusive to the "New" 3DS but I can play Samus Returns on my "Old" 3DS.

I love my 3ds still play it as one of my main consoles game too.

I'm just now buying one, 2 golden ds games I've heard are kirby mass attack and Henry hatsworth puzzling adventure. Lmk if yall have any other titles I should check out. Had the original ds but lost it in a move and switched to Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 I'm going back to handheld cause I got the zfold3 but Google play games most of them r ehh... wanna go back to the semi classic handheld lol, classic would be no color Gameboy. I'm getting either the original ds or the new 3ds xl. Asked for either
