I'm a kids leader at my church, one of the little girls I teach is hard of hearing... and her words get difficult to understand sometimes. She doesn't know but I've been binge watching all these signing videos to hopefully help her understand Jesus and so that I can help myself become more experienced and caring ❤

❤ I am sooo excited about learning John 3:16. I also learned in church at different ages first at about 10 and then again at 13/14. The thing that excited me is the double meaning..I mean when you SPEAK IT. It's a promise to us. But when you sign it it's a statement "we believe he not die but live forever" AMEN🎉. THANK YOU. I don't know where learning A.S.L. will take me if anywhere but I will always love it. Thank YOU for being here and helping in this. ❤❤❤

I’m not deaf or hard of hearing but I’ve been interested in signing since the ‘80’s. Originally I’m from Jamaica where I started to learn but haven’t completed lessons. Now I’m in Canada for the past thirty yrs and would like to get involved again. I’ve doing some practice online but would love to get deeper and start communicating more effectively with the deaf. I don’t know of any deaf church around. These lessons have been helpful. Thanks

I love that you made a 2nd “church signs” video for Holy Week, including John 3:16!❤️ The first video I ever saw on your channel was the original “church signs” one. The Lord used it to spark the desire for me to pursue ASL interpreting in college, in hopes of one day interpreting for churches too or other ministries. Love your videos. I just started learning ASL and found doing it with Bible verse really help, not only to memorize the signs but also the Bible verse. Have you seen Sarah Signs yet? I ran into one of her songs a few months ago, added it to a playlist so I could learn to sing it, but didn't think to look through her channel. More recently I did, and she's got a wide variety of hymns sung in ASL! I'm trying to learn "In Christ Alone" because the signs are pretty simple and the song is not too fast. It hits differently to see some of these concepts acted out in signs, compared to the words I've known for years but are kinda stale in my brain!

What about John 3:17-21? Many have heard John 3:16… and yet neglect the following verses. So, i often reckon it necessary to follow through.

Have practiced John 3:16 so many times now! Feels good to be able to do an entire verse 🙂 Question: We don't sign the word "only" between 'His' and 'Son'? Also, I thought the word 'don't' was the same as 'not' - using the thumb under the chin. When is this done differently?

Love it, im learning sign with u, because my granddaughter 9yrs old, has autism (non verbal) i want to understand her so badly, she can hear and understand but when she wants something she can't express herself (it kills me inside) so im trying my best to learn sign language to teach her, but is rough teaching her, since she gets upset while i teach her, her attention time is to short, please give advice, thank u, from a grandpa............

Thank you! Would there be a conditional "IF," since this is a conditional statement? Also, John 3:16 reads like this, "For God loved the world in such a manner...". Couldn't we sign something like [GOD][BECAUSE][LOVE][WORLD]...[IF][BELIEVE]... I suppose this depends on prior knowledge. Thanks!

What is the difference between passover and easter?

Hello Meredith, I like this a timely video! I learned that the sign for EXCHANGE was done with F hands, and the sign for AROSE is BODY NONE. Is there a difference in signing EXCHANGE and AROSE the way you did here, and the way I learned them? I want to make sure that I have current information. Thank you for your awesome work!

Yes EXCHANGE can also be with F hands. For BODY NONE, I would use that in addition to show the GRAVE was EMPTY but that is my personal suggestion. Each person is going to have their own additions when interpreting a verse or lyrics.

@@LearnHowtoSign Yeah, I was watching a church service and RESURRECT was one of the words, so the interpreter signed GRAVE EMPTY, BODY - NONE for that. Funny I don't remember much else about the sermon. Be well 💜🙏🏼
