    For 25,000 the Hutts withstood everything that was thrown at them and in the end stood firm as the galaxy around them changed. They outlasted the Rakatan Infinite Empire, the Sith Empires and even the Galactic Republic itselft. Not even the Yuuzhan Vong were able to put an end to their story. No wonder they are respected and feared.

  • @grandadmiralzaarin4962

    @grandadmiralzaarin4962

    Well much of that had to do with them not contesting any of the major powers and that for most of that 25,000 years, the main power in the galaxy was not expansionist. The Sith were always preoccupied with the Jedi/Republic. The Hutts just sat back and were beneficial to have as neutral partners. When the major Galactic powers became Expansionist ones, the Hutts fared very poorly against them militarily. They were essentially a client state of the Empire, the Vong crushed them into the ground and their rebounding after the Vong War again, had more to do with the big players in the galaxy being preoccupied elsewhere.

    My theory about the crisis that forced the Hutts to form a society is that they were TOO effective as predators, and had to form a hierarchical society to keep from wiping one another out over remaining resources, and expand their territory to continue consuming. You see predators too good at their job forcing their own extinction several times in nature, such as Dire Wolves and the Megalodon.

    Speaking of Vorga the Hutt, I love the KOTOR II side quest where you make one of your playable female characters dance like a slave for him in order to put him to sleep and steal his merchandise. The best thing is the different reaction of the girls to your proposal. Brianna gladly accepts in order to proudly show half-naked her physical assets. Mira reluctantly agrees if you say she is the prettiest girl. Kreia literally doesn't say anything against it, though you cannot make her dance, anyway. And Visas simply says "No," refusing to expose anything beyond her beautiful mouth.. Additionally, if you are a woman, you can also become a dancer, although Jabba's butler will show repulsion if your skin is rotten by the Dark Side.

However, they move like snails, making them massive lethargic targets that can easily be shot at a distance by any chump with a blaster. Maybe I'm missing something because their mobility doesn't paint them as warriors capable of taking over entire planets.

    I believe that Force powers can be indirectly used against the Hutts such as throwing an object at them or causing substances near them to explode or combust. But Force Choke is doubtful. Look at their throat size...LOL.@@toomanyaccounts

    Jabba's uncle, Jiliac, is the greatest example of the hermaphrodite nature of the Hutts, since upon giving birth to his son, he went from referring to himself as a male to identifying as a woman, even changing pronouns. Without a doubt a wonderful representation of gender-fluid 😅
