Moshe is right about the roommate thing, I was that person that signed a homeless friend onto my lease and it turned out to be a disaster. I was the one that ended up having to leave and find my own apartment because the building couldn’t evict him just because I had a problem with him. I moved out and he ended up getting evicted a few months later, so I feel that I dodged a bullet. But the sad reality is, if you’re the one that has a problem, you have to make the choice to leave… unless the other person is willing to leave, which is rare. Gotta suck it up and do what’s best for you.

Moshe is right about the girl and her ex boyfriend. She doesn't have to say "My boyfriend isn't comfortable with it." She can just say "Sorry, I don't want to have my ex here" or "Sorry that weekend doesn't work, we've got a lot going on."

didn’t Chris Rock already cover this life lesson like 30 years ago…women’s platonic friends “dick in a glass case” bit, yeah? in case of emergency, break open glass if ur lady is keeping her exes around, especially the ones she had “bad” relationships with, its just a matter of time…but yeah, no, really, sure go ahead, try it, im sure u’ll defy the odds and be the exception worms always be crawling in thru the cracks when it rains and rest assured, one day, its gonna be pouring out oh yeah, and if an adult male can’t afford a hotel room when visiting a city, best tell him to run back to his mommy and daddy and ask for more allowance 😵‍💫🔫 and ari, natasha? 😳 like really? 🤢🤢🤢 ari’s a notorious womanizer and creep known in all comedy circles i hang in im sure he just loves it when u come spend the night at his place miles away from moshe 🤦🏻‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️ i mean ari’s 50 and still single, so im sure the rumors are all unfounded 🫠 so ick, ick, ick…sorry moshe, but cant believe she got u to agree with her, like whaaa😵😵😵 mosh, i got a great idea that im sure natasha will be down for next time ur on the road, instead of getting a hotel room, ask one of ur exes to have a sleepover, guess it only makes sense in today’s economy, yeah? 😝

I don’t think I’d be comfortable with my boyfriend’s female coworker “crashing “ at my apartment let alone his ex girlfriend. Therefore, I would never even ask him if one of my exes was coming to town or any single male friend looking to crash at our place. No need to look for trouble.

She can replace herself on the lease. I would find someone messier than my roommate to replace me so at least she knows what it feels like, maybe someone who will leave their guests alone with no notice. Then their friendship could improve as her roommate develops empathy. I don’t think it matters if her own space is messy though. It’s not a shared space so who cares. But leaving your guest alone for days is so rude and inconsiderate, my roommate’s nephew locked out us other tenants once and we were stuck having to call a locksmith because he wouldn’t open the door. I don’t trust “guests” of roommates

FYI: messy people are actually clean freaks who are struggling. I used tii on be a super clean freak and just stopped.but people who put upon their roommates instead of telling their family to get a hotel are rude and entitled . Can’t stand it.

“So, Natasha, that girl with the roommate troubles, Here’s a wild idea - just find what really inks her roommate. Then, amp it up a notch. How about having a ‘boyfriend’ stay over and, you know, make a bunch of noise? Make living there just a bit uncomfortable for her. If she’s really peeved, maybe she’ll decide to move out on her own. But you got to be consistent with it. It’s a bit out there, but hey, it’s kinda an eye for an eye in a harmless manner. 😊

I had a roommate who refused to pay rent after he had moved in. He had relocated here for a job with Florida Power &Light. We had communicated for several weeks before he moved here regarding how much the rent was and that he would pay half the deposit as security. He was this little nerdy Indian guy Who appeared very nervous the night he got here. I was trying to be nice. I thought he must be nervous about moving to a new state not knowing anybody and starting a new job. He said he would pay the rent on Friday, which was not the plan but I believed he would pay me. So he moved in with no money. And then he never paid me anything. he kept telling me he was going to look for another place and I told him someone else was moving in. He said that’s fine I’ll just stay on your couch. It was completely crazy. he refused to pay rent and he refused to leave! And in Florida the law is as soon as you let somebody stay the night for 24 hours, You have to file an eviction to get them out of your house. So it cost you money to get a deadbeat out of your apartment and it could take months while they use all of your household items and make your life a living hell. I could write a book on the nightmare roommates I’ve had since moving to Florida.

Chick with the Burning-Man-Boyfriend issue- call the landlord (hold for groans) and report an unlisted occupant anonymously. I worked in property management, and at least in my state, you cannot allow folks (such as BM Boyf) to stay longer than 3 consecutive nights (I believe it was? certain it is not 8w plus!) without having them on the lease. Sounds like roomie will opt to throw him on the lease rather than kick him out. Once roommate and BM Boyf are both on the lease-bail. Problem solved 🤷🏼‍♀️
