Mate...if you ever want to get away from the snow you've always got a home down here! 🇦🇺👍
Buddy of mine got a '78 Bronco years back for parts (It was so rotten the spare tire almost fell out of the floor where the rear seat should've been), the parts truck had a good front clip and doors, and a seized 300 inline 6. The engine was seized from the Dorman oilpan paint, previous owner hadn't run the truck 1000 miles with that pan and it had ate the paint off and plugged the engine. But that rusty '78 Bronco saved my buddy's 78 bronco (Which needed fenders and doors badly), and his early 70's F250 farm truck that needed an engine. We only used the head, distributor, and a few other bits from the seized engine, those pistons where stuck something fierce, guy my buddy got the truck from had it at redline in a mudhole when it seized.
Dude, I cracked up when you torqued the bell housing. That was funny🤣😂
That theft proofing tho! If the whole shipment gets highjacked your crates are going to be the only ones left lol

If they're made at the Iveco factory in Europe or in Minas Gerais in Brazil then they're actually bloody bulletproof motors "so long as they're above 8 litres." as far as the Powerstrokes go your better of buying a 3.0l Fiat diesel than either the Iveco/International/Ford versions.

Boy that baby sounded nice! gotta love the old Cummin"s can't beat them, especially the 5.9 I think their the perfect little motor for what Al wants to do. As He said, this baby is the holy grail of Diesels
I used to run a production engine shop in South Texas in another life. My builders used Permatex "Aviation" (it comes with a brush attached to the lid and looks like tar) on the core plug holes. We called them "freeze plugs" back then.
Gr8 vid. I'd love to drop 1 in a 6.4 powerstroke F550
They'r definitely core plugs. The water jacket hollow in the block is cast with a hardened sand core that is connected to the outside of the mold with more sand that goes thru those holes. Definitely don't fool yourself that They'r effective at preventing damage from freezing your coolant
Great videos, I always learn from you, and I thought I knew every thing and more. Have a great new year!!!

You always have the best music in your videos Rich. Thanks for the free learnins and entertainment!
I watch a number of build videos, gets my mechanical, juices flowing. You have a leg up with your nod toward torquing and torque settings. They do add tedious time to buttoning up an engine, BUT the torque requirements are critical. I was an aircraft mechanic (12,000 lbs. and over) for 20 years, six cylinder opposed and really big radial engines such as the 4000 hp Pratt and Whitney R-4360 ci. 28 cylinder. I worked with the torque chart in hand as there were hundreds of torque settings. Don't even get me started with having to safety wire almost all of the fasteners. It took four men over seven days to button up the engine and test run it at various settings for hours at a time. Plus the other settings necessary to tune the ignition, carburetor, alcohol injection pump, turbo charger and supercharger. When they were finally set up correctly they were bellowing monsters of the sky.
WOW that engine sounded AMAZING
Enjoy your videos you explain well and give details not condescending to watchers or go like all watching are pros great job

Deboss and Skid Factory is just such a great partnership.
Learn so much watching your content. Thanks for yet another great video.
I've been watching this channel for about 3 years now and I've learned so much in that time frame. When I started watching, I didn't know jack shit about rebuilding a motor, now I could probably rebuild a 12V Cummins with a bit of guidance. I didn't know Ford made a 3V 5.4 Triton, I thought all 5.4s were the same. Now I know what years of Ford truck to stay away from and what would probably be a solid truck. I especially like the everything wrong with series y'all do, I really learn a lot from those. Keep up the great work y'all and I'm really interested in seeing this swap progress, I'm sure it will be badass when it's finished
Fired right up - excellent job, all

Hello from The Skid Factory... Happy New Year
I can agree to the Cummins running better when it’s hotter. Lost a freeze plug and it ran out of fluid. Never seized up but it got really hot and the throttle response was phenomenal, oil temp gauge is what gave away the overheating.
Awesome work. Core plugs are also used like anodes to avoid the electrolysis effect to the engine block happening from the coolant circulating in the cooling system
