Late arrival but having someone hold the camera for you makes your videos that much more enjoyable. You really do shine as a presenter and reviewer. I hope you are able to do more reviews like these sans pandemic bs. Cheers!

Always enjoy your reviews, Nick, but as a professional mariner I feel bound to make two observations: setting the autopilot and then heading off for some breakfast, keeping a look out from time to time, does not obey the ColRegs (yes I know single handed yachts don't either); and standing on the bathing platform without wearing a lifejacket with the boat underway and making way is highly ill-advised.

I just love sleeping aboard our boat, even though it's an under cockpit floor mid berth, we sleep better than at home. We do stay on board regular all year round too.

God review Nick. Looking at a lightly used 44 at the moment. Been looking at a lot of the same manufacturers fayre. Yes some twiddly bits and trim etc are a bit naff and seem a bit 'cheap' but heck compared to the price of some others of the same ilk there is a lot to be said about the Swift Trawler range

Its still a sailboat interior........built light which might be great for someone coming from a sailboat into the trawler market at a somewhat affordable price point.....

Hi Nick nice to see you a great review, and your niggles about the boat need looking at and easy to deal with. Like the comment " sit in it, not on it" seats are comfortable. Breakfast with coffee and your fav breakfast food as the coast drifts by with the boat on auto sounds good to me. She is very versatile whether she is going at 8 knots to 20 knots like the dance that goes - slow slow quick quick slow. She planned to maximize the space whether at sea or your throwing a party. An ambling boat. 😀

I was a virgin to boating videos until my cousin introduced me to you're excellent displays but now that I've watched numerous others I find myself comparing the way you have such a fluid display and walkthroughs compared to the broken but we'll editted "showboating" style that other people sell, keep up the good work,I'm sure wealthy people think the same thing......ps. if you need a cameraman/person I'm available free of charge,I love the lifestyle just can't afford it but I'll work for passage 😆

If B&Q made boats this would be it , BUT take away the little niggles of cheap locks and cheap products I love this trawler , for what you pay you get so much , so for someone like me who would boat on a small budget with my family this would be perfect , Nick your boat presentation s and honesty makes you stand out .. Great review 👏 👍

Cheap materials used such as the opening/locking mechanisms for the doors plus the weirdest position of the helm seat ( right on the galley’s countertop), really put me off in considering this one. I guess the rule of you get what you pay for, couldn’t apply more here . What a shame , I mean this is a 47 foot boat and IMO they could come up with better solutions for the layout.

The helm seat folds forward onto the ships wheel when not under way giving you plenty of counter space

In the article that was listed with this video, it said that at 6 knot speed, you were getting 2 miles per liter consumed. Is this correct? That means with a full tank of 1930 liters, the range is almost 4000 mile range! If that's the case, that's some amazing fuel economy for a relatively big boat, isn't it?

@@bophoto This isn't a Nordhavn or a Selene, and it's not meant to cross oceans; it's meant to be a nice coastwise cruiser and island hopper, or, of course -- being made in France -- a Med boat.

  • @AQUAHOLIC

Two wide side decks loses cabin width. Two narrow side decks and forward access isn't good. Asymmetric side decks allow one really good forward access while minimising loss of cabin width.

I want to like these boats. It should be my go to. Something about those interiors, fit and finish, the colours/layout and those squeaky floors. I’m in a 93 ‘fast trawler’ that is superior and that is not a good thing!!!!!!
