Sadly, the carnivore diet isn’t healthy. A lot of carnivorous people, like to lie, and say that it is. But many studies, including Harvard have proved it to be extremely unhealthy. It’s basic science. When your body digests protein, and you eat it a lot of it. A byproduct of that protein synthesis is ammonia. Which filters through your liver and kidneys and destroys them. Many people complained of having health problems and having liver and kidneys destroyed by that Diet. So I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The food is really good though. People underwrite Applebee’s for sure. My favorite is the Tex-Mex shrimp bowl and it is phenomenal. I’m very picky and I usually don’t like food at restaurants. I usually find it bland, and tasteless. I’ve even sent food back at five star restaurants. But that is something I would definitely order!

Love the video but sorry the ribs looked terrible. Come camp out in my yard in Texas and I'll make you some real ribs

Definitely not worth it.

Fun fact, Applebee's microwave cooks there steaks and to give it the grill mark look, they throw it on a grill for like a minute and then serve it. And yes that's true, I used to work there.

You can do that with sous vide pre-cooking, sort of, but not overdoing the microwaving would be tricky!

That steak looked crazy good. Unfortunately, the Applebee's near us is really terrible.

Hey Ken. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’ve noticed you always try coleslaw by itself, and rarely like it. But when you have it on a burger or sandwich you do like it. This is because coleslaw in my mind should be eaten with other food, in the same bite. I’ve never seen people eat it as its own side.

I've never been to Applebee's. The chocolate syrup you pour on ice cream is called Magic Shell. It hardens and you have to crack into it with your spoon. I'll be happy to help you with dessert anytime. Lol. Can't wait for part 2. Take care and be safe.

Another reason to like Applebees - no broccoli! I went there a lot in the late 80’s and 90’s and liked it, but haven’t been in maybe 20 years. They had a “Chicken Fried Chicken” back then that I loved. And I’m sorry, but when I heard sirens, I just imagined Canadian police showing up to an incident saying, “So hey! You’re not doing anything bad here, are ya? … OK, then! Enjoy your day!”

Everything looked great, Ken. I have 2 Applebee's near me and unfortunately neither are very good

I love medium rare steak chicken anywhere I go and even at home to ❤❤

As a server at a restaurant she shouldn't have brought your dinner out without asking you first so fast

Yep, Magic Shell was the name! When you asked if we were available to help with the brownie I laughed, but I also halfway expected Paul to suddenly sit down and say, "Sure, I'm available!"

I'm more of a 57 kinda girl. I use A1 in marinades and sometimes mix it in hamburger patties.

I don't use steak sauce on my steak, but I do use it on my fries for like savory ketchup taste. Seeing those shrimp. I'm going to have to run out and get myvown.

Wow $33 for the steak, you can get a rib or porterhouse at Smith and Woolenskies for less than that.

For some reason that brownie reminded me of a restaurant I used to go to in 2005(?) when I lived in Pennsylvania that has FROWNIES that are brownies with a frowning face lol It is called KINGS FAMILY RESTAURANT. If you are ever in Western Pennsylvania I think it would be a GREAT choice. I looked it up and apparently there are only 4 of them scattered around that area.

The price for the steak and shrimp meal is insane. That would be the equivalent of about 30 CAD in the US and there is no way I would even pay that at Applebee's. I could go to Texas Roadhouse and get the same thing for around the same price or less including multiple sides and all the rolls you want.

Next to to chilis 🌶️ 4 24hrs. Try their ultimate Cajun chicken pasta and garlic bread.

Looks so delicious Ken! I love Applebee’s! I love their atmosphere, their drinks are amazing and the food is so good. My favorite is their TexMex shrimp bowl. It’s got shrimp, guacamole, cilantro lime rice, pico de gallo and it even has some spring mix in it. It’s heavenly. You should try it. Much love from Wisconsin! 🩵

Most heaters like that drain your batteries quick. I wouldn’t recommend using them for heat in a van 🚐

Haven't been back to Applebee's since they got rid of the best Chicken Fried Chicken. That was probably 15+ years ago.

We had an Applebee's that closed down maybe 15 + years ago. I loved their 2 can dine meals. Always used to get them when I drove down to the States. It was a shared appie and each person gets an entree and I think dessert too for only $20USD. This was back in the 2000s or 2010s.

Try to watch The Little things.Great detective movie.

Nice! Next time do Longhorn Steakhouse, if you have one close by! Their Parmesan Crusted Chicken is amazing.
