The Raven Cycle is my favorite series of all time! That is a MUST read!
I’m reading Mile High right now. I was thinking the same about Zander. But once you get over 120 pages, his character (for me) gets way better! I would give it another shot!

i totally agree with this. i am halfway through and it very good now
Really really hoping for a 2024 reading journal video! 💌
I’m reading right now The Right Move, but I read Mile High and loved it. I don’t understand why people don’t like it. In the beginning he might seem kinda annoying, but then it gets better. I suggest you read it. Plus you understand better the second book. ❤❤❤
Trial of the sun queen is one of my all time favorite books!!! She has become one of my favorite authors last year! It’s a 4 book series and the 3rd one comes out in June!
I hope you have an amazing reading year Rach💕❤
Hey Rachel! Can you post a video about your faith journey? ❤
I’m so excited for this!!!
Loved scythe!!!!!❤ The whole series is amazing!!
You got me interested in some of these and reading the comments about how much others have loved some of these pushed these up my TBR
Love you Rach!!! your videos bring me so much joy and i can’t wait to follow you along your 2024 journey! ❤ Thanks so much for making these videos for us!!
Gilded wolves is one of my favorite series! It is a top tier magical heist - perfect for people who liked six of crows I think (I loved gilded wolves way more) each book is set in a different place! Book one is Paris and book two is Russia! ALSO, trial of the sun queen is SO GOOD. I’ve read the first two and book three comes out this year. Book one is the only one with bachelor vibes just so you know but I LOVE them, it’s very much so fae and a competition and idk who to trust kind of book. I definitely saw a few of the twists coming but overall it’s SO GOOD

You've just convinced me to add Gilded Wolves to my TBR. As soon as you compared it to Six of Crows, I knew I had to have it.
I hope we get your 2024 reading journal. Last year's video was one of my favorites. Excited for all the content for this year 💗
Rachel I just binged the entire Finlay Donovan series in 3 DAYS! it was seriously incredible and I fell in love with the characters
Scythe! You're going to love it!
OMG I'm sooooo excited that your reading skyward it is one of my favorite books of all time. Hope you love it!
Your journal spreads are always so cute 😭 One dark window is also on my list for this year! Happy reading!💕
Hey Rachel, there is a book that I read last year that I wish had more hype and it’s called Oona Out of Order. It is general fiction that follows a woman that lives here adult life out of order meaning jumping to random years rather than in order. I hope that makes sense but it is definitely a book that has stuck with me. ❤
i loved one dark window SO MUCH, my new fav fantasy next to acotar! 🥹
I highly recommend Blake Crouch if you’re into sci-fi! Upgrade is my favorite by him. Also can’t wait for you to read Project Hail Mary, it’s so good!
Ooooo if your in your sci fi era you should definitely check out the illuminae files trilogy! They are ya mixed media and the audiobooks are so phenomenal! Full cast effects and all! I recommend listening whilst flipping through for the ultimate reading experience. It’s a 5 star series for me! Love your videos and can’t wait to continue following your reading journey x
One Dark Window and its sequel are both so good! My favorite books of 2023! Oh and for PHM, listen to the audiobook! Rocky’s voice is the cutest and you fall in love with his character. A lot of PHM was scientific information that I had no clue what I was reading, so don’t worry if it goes above your head 😂 I still enjoyed it!
Hi Rachel. I just wanted to say that I love the scripture passage you have on your video today. This is the scripture verse for my 2024 year.
Scythe is one of my favorite books/series of all time!! I would love to see you read it in a vlog and hear your thoughts. I think you'd love it based on your recent reads!
I’ve read “when you were everything”, and i can say it’s a really good book for someone who’s gone through a friendship breakup and struggles to move on from it! I think we need more books like that, i would even love other recommendations! Hope you enjoy it 🥰
It's the way I squealed when you said The Right Move was on your TBR 😅 I loved that book with my heart and soul
The Raven Cycle is one of my all time favorites! I'm so excited it's on your list!! Found family is really good and I'd be so curious to know who your favorite character is. Nobody talks about those books but they should!
the audio book for a curious beginning is sooooo good! def recommend
Out on a Limb was such a surprise!!!! I loved it!!! It's one of my favourite books of 2023🫶🏻
I also have Scythe, Skyward and One Dark Window on my 24 for 2024 list! I hope you end up reading Project Hail Mary and enjoy it. I read it in 2021 and to this day it remains my favorite book. Definitely recommend you listen to the audiobook, it makes the reading experience so much better!
Skyward IS a YA sci-fi and it’s incredible. There’s little to no romance but it’s plot driven. Skyward was a 6 star read and the rest of the series is incredible
YES to The Right Move & Say You Swear 🙌🏼 Those were two of my favorite reads of 2023! I hope you love them 🥹 I liked Mile High but it’s my least favorite out of the series 😅 still a really good book though!
that journal page is gorgeous
Oooh I’m in the middle of the scythe trilogy! I’m on the last book and I have to say, so far it gets better the further in the series you are. I thought the first one was good solid 4 if not a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Because it’s definitely just the beginning of everything and it’s more of hey, let me introduce you, so the end isn’t the best but definitely a build up for the rest. The first book is absolutely more of just an introduction into the world, just started book 3. Book 2 was wild.
Project Hail Mary was so so great. It's a book I think about often!
YES!! A Curious Beginning! Read it! Oh my gosh, I love Veronica Speedwell! And yes, the physical copies of the books are harder than usual to find for some reason.

I’m reading A Curious Beginning now and it’s so good!!! I’m so surprised how much I like it
the raven cycle is my favourite series, but be prepared it’s chaotic (in the best way obviously). on my list to reread this year!
Yes the Finley Donovan series is really fun!
the raven cycle is my ABSOLUTE favorite series :') i hope you can get to it this year!
Yes please read the Raven Boys! I read it in 2023 and loved it so so much. I just finished the second book and I can't stop thinking about it 💫
the raven boys is everythingg
Scythe!!! I loved that series!
I hope you have a lovely 2024 filled with kindness and self love!
the veronica speedwell series is so good!!!! just a little heads up though, it’s not fantasy, but it’s definitely a cozy mystery series and it’s so fun! i really hope you love it🫶🏻
I heard a lot about Raven Boys around 2016-2017, I believe and I wanted to read them so bad but never got to it. You just reminded me of their existence.
Okie dokie so The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson is absolutely fantastic, and I finished that book sitting in a tree at my grandmothers house :). I just finished reading the whole Skyward series, as the fourth book came out recently. It is YA, and it is awesome. I personally do not relate to the main character that much, but I love *literally everything else* in the books. I do hope you end up liking them!
One Dark Window is so good. It was the first book I read this year. You must read it! Also, the Stardust and Scythe series are also great books.
I’m currently listening to Skyward on Audible and I’m loving it! I also definitely recommend trying to audiobook for Project Hail Mary. It was my first audiobook and my first sci-fi book and I loved it soooo much!
The veronica speedwell series is not a fantasy but it’s so fun, the characters are some of my favorites ever!
That's my favourite Bible verse - and great for a new year. 💜 And I want to read Stalking Jack the Ripper, too!
All the light we cannot see was one of my favorite books of 2023!!
I made a 12 in 2024 list including When in Rome, Binding 13, Reckless, Skyward and These Hollow Vows. I'm so excited to read all of them!
omg the immortalists is one of my favorite books! so good
I absolutely LOVED The Immortalists when I read it. This year I'm really looking forward to the new Emily Henry release but I also red all the books in the MCU last year so I am very ready for the new release next month.
i loved stalking jack the ripper! only read that and the second one (dracula), and i loved them both. for some reason, it took me so long to read both of them but when i would read big amounts in one go - its so good!
I loved the Finlay Donovan series ❤can’t wait to see what you think of it!!
Mile high was ok in my opinion but I'm telling you, you'll understand the Ryan Shay hype ❤️ I made myself a 24 books to read as well and excited to see how many I got to at the end of the year. Your videos are my absolute favorite to watch.
Yes! A Curious Beginning! My favourite series of all time!!!! I think I’ve mentioned it in a comment to you before, haha, I will never not recommend it! I think it will be right up your street!!! I had to get it through Amazon though, It’s not available at QBD or dymocks, I couldn’t find it in person anywhere! ❤
Project Hail Mary is so good! It ended up having so much depth and it was my favorite book from 2023. The Martian, also by Andy Weir, is also very good, if you end up liking Project Hail Mary.
Love Stalking Jack the Ripper!! Especially the audiobook, it is read beautifully!
dude! the immortalists! I read this book a couple years ago and loved it! I read Chloe benaimens other book the anatomy of dreams, also very good! excited if you end up picking this one up!
I loved the Scythe Trilogy so much. I hope you like it as well ❤
Trials of the Sun Queen 🙌🏻
omg rachel you need to read the raven cycle! the found family is to die for
I’m always so happy to hear people are picking up Skyward. I love the Cytoverse so much. Yes it is YA. Am I old enough to have children that would be considered too old to read this series. Yes. Is it my favourite series of all time, at the moment. Yes. Read it and either enjoy it or don’t. It will neither change my opinion about the book or my opinion of you as an amazing BookTuber that I also love.
I picked up Project Hail Mary on a whim, read it in a day, and then gave it five stars. And I'm an extremely harsh grader. So I'm excited to see you read it. I've seen a lot of people own it but not read it
Stalking Jack the Ripper was really fun! I liked it so much I immediately ordered the series. Just a neat take but I'm also a true crime fan.
i read mile high a while ago, but i think it was around 30% that zander’s character changed for me and became more bearable!
''Out on a limb'' is my favourite romance book of 2023! Truly special story with characters I will not forget any time soon! I hope you'll enjoy it as well ❤
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Scythe! Also Stalking Jack The Ripper
Not sure if you’re aware - book 5 of the Magnolia Parks universe is released here in Australia on Feb 13…..cover art is on point too 👏 👏
Love ur vidsss
I just finished my re-read of All the Light We Cannot See. It is by far one of my most favorite books. It made me cry, made me feel down, but it is also so uplifting. I beg you, please read this book.
Seeing all the romance girl channels switch to beinf fantasy heavy is the best! (Romance is great, but fantasy hits different)
since you liked renegades and brandon sanderson, i really recommend steelheart by brando sando!! it's a near future scifi/dystopian with people with powers. learning about the powers, weaknesses, how it all came to be etc is so fun and interesting!
My biggest goal for this year is to read all of Taylor Jenkins Reid's books (I have three left), Once Upon a Broken Heart series and (fingers crossed) Bunny and Boy parts. (These are just the ones I consider "must reads", but I too have my 24 books tbr). In moments I feel brave, I like to think I'll start Throne of Glass series too, but that's just me being totally venturous.
I totally agree with you about mile high but trust me it gets so good! I rated it 4.5⭐ xx
Skyward is so good! enjoy (from a fellow Aussie) x
The Gilded Wolves was one of my six star reads. I could not put that book down. It's so good! If you liked Six of Crows you are going to devour Gilded Wolves. It's just like Six of Crows but with more puzzles and romantic suspense.
I didn’t enjoy mile high that I ended up DNF and LOVED right move❤ you’ll love right move❤
ahhh one dark window is on my list too… we’re in this together LOL
I flew through the scythe trilogy and absolutely loved it, I haven't loved a YA series that much since probably the hunger games. I hope you read it! 🫶🏻
Great video!
I loved Trial of the Sun Queen and Rule of the Aurora King as well as Heart and Night and Fire which is a different series by the same author.
Hi 😊 I actually liked mile high a lot more than the right move! I think Liz Tomfordes books generally take a while to get into. I think all her books really started to hook me at like 30% in 😊
I legit just did a haul video with The Raven Boys 😅. I am just making my way through Babel - i’m enjoying it but the fantasy side of it so far is quite light. I really want to pick up the Gabrielle Zevin book you mentioned as well
I enjoyed Trial of the Sun Queen! The writing style is a little meh but the story line is great. I haven't read ACOTAR so not sure if you can compare it to that. The second book is really good though! Third book comes out in June and I'm so excited! 😍
The audio book of project Hail Mary was the absolute best! Highly recommend listening to it.

AGREED
Skyward was my first Brandon Sanderson book. I read it near the end of last year and it is a YA book.
I LOOOOVEEE project Hail Mary
I read the right move before I “read” mile high I have got like 20-25% and I still haven’t finished but I am going to start caught up in feb
So Mile High was in my top books of 2023! I honestly don’t think people give Zanders enough of a chance to grow before they DNF. I would honestly say try to get half way and if by that point, you still don’t connect then absolutely skip. But I think his development is note to life and people miss that when they skip 🫶🏼

I agree with you! Right Move is my favorite book but I like the topics of the first book and Zanders’ true personality. ❤
i was nervous about mile high because i’d heard bad things but i powered through and ended up really loving it! zanders (the male lead) is icky at first and is a bit rude but i personally believe he had a bit of a redemption arc and it makes more sense later. he’s not my favourite main character at all but you do get to learn more about his backstory and his family which explains why he acts the way he does. he ends up showing a really sweet and caring side but i understand that it’s not for everyone because of the way he acts in the beginning
From Neal Shusterman I also recommend Dry. It is dystopian book. Myself I loved it much more than Scythe.
Could you please do a 24hour readathlon of harry Potter books?
Jeremiah 29:11!!! One of my favorite verses!! :)
i am begging you to read shark heart!! a great literary general fiction book thats fast-paced if you want to switch up your genres ❤️
Project Hail Mary is my favourite book ever! Also Ryan gosling is going to be in the film if that helps😃
I’ll be really interested to hear your thoughts on Project Hail Mary. I was really excited to read it because I’d heard such positive things and maybe that’s why I was underwhelmed. For me, it was just an ok read and I didn’t think it was particularly well written. On a more positive note, although I don’t think Trial of the Sun Queen is the best book ever, it was a fun, easy read 😊
i hope you love stalking jack the ripper, its one of my favorite series of all time
