23021 - TopoSolid (Revit 2024)

Good stuff!
Now we can cut any shape of void in a topo, cut the topo with the floor, footing etc., pick the edge of a topo, and we can also have surface patterns. Anything else?

    2024 ! 😂 Autodesk have their own calendar Okay , nice feature of topo. Although many have asked for for a long time ago It looks like you can cut a floor or a Mass Revit has to fix 1700 things, but they fix only one or two things at a time … maybe in 3024 they can catch it Thanks Bin for sharing the new features

    It’s simply not possible with the toposurface before this. Unless use floor with edit sub element I think.

    @@BINHE615 actually i used a building pad on the toposurface and then created other one on top of it with some elevation. After that i somehow managed to merge both the surfaces.

    I officially converted my current project to toposolid, I noticed in the sample project of 2024 they used the massing for the void and multiple subdivisions, still getting used to this

    Good to know. I guess it depends on the shape of the void.

    Hi! Isn't it possible to model layers of soils? to get soil sections and calculate volumes by any layer and type of soil

    was wondering if you can convert a floor with modified points to a toposolid, but i think no, I guess with dynamo. With an older project I created a the topo with floors instead of toposurface. so wanted to take those floors and create a toposolid.

  • @BINHE615

    @BINHE615

    Yes, you can probably use Dynamo to convert them. If the topo is not complicated, you can probably just add points in the toposolid and align them with the floor.

    Hello. Can you use a sloped floor with the arrow or with modified sub elements to cut the toposolid so to achieve a similar result like with a sloped pad from 2023?

    hi bin ,, what is the difference between curtain system in architecture and curtain system in massing site ,if u know means pls share with us tq

  • @BINHE615

    @BINHE615

    Жыл бұрын

    I guess you are talking about the curtain systems in project and divided surface with pattern based family in mass. The difference is curtain system uses curtain wall mullions and curtain panels with simple patterns(U&V grids) and it can only be placed onto a mass or generic model in the project environment. Pattern based family on a divided surface can be more complicated with different patterns and it can only be used in mass environment, including conceptual mass, model in place mass and adaptive families.

    it does not work!! Some Void Forms of this family do not cut anything and will be deleted. To make a Void Form cut something else use the Cut Geometry tool.
