But where were her parents in the support and discussions that go along with this. Cannot just blame the internet. Yes adults feeding into it with lack of education is wrong. As a parent of a transgender male, I can tell you it's not something taken lightly. At the age she was when she started feeling this way, that is a clue all in itself. Also. Statistically speaking...1% regret transitioning. And those that do, are because the child played into this notion that it was the "in thing" to do.

I had severe body dysmorphia when I was a teenager and still suffer with it to an extent. I had a long list of surgeries and procedures I wanted done because I hated my body so much. Some of those surgeries included leg lengthening surgery, calf reduction surgery and forehead reduction surgery to give you an idea of how deep into it I was. And that was just the more unusual things on my list. I couldn’t imagine if my self-hatred had been encouraged by society and I had been given the funds and told “You go girl!” Especially now that I’m starting to actually enjoy some of the things I wanted to change now that I’m becoming mentally healthier. I have friends who are trans and their dysphoria didn’t just go away after transitioning; for one it actually got MUCH worse. I feel sorry for them because they are people who need mental health treatment but society has normalized letting them suffer. I don’t think transitioning should be 100% out of the question but it should definitely be the last resort. One young lady I know was able to transition without a psych evaluation and that’s scary because she had a history of child abuse that should’ve been addressed.

Allow in some cases, encourage in most others. But bear in mind most medical professionals now aren't in it to help people anymore, it's a career path to wealth and prestige now much like practicing law or becoming a career politician. Also bear in mind the people "serving" society such as politicians, doctors, teachers ect are only as sick and wicked as the society they come from is. So if you really want someone to blame look no further than the moral degradation of American society that has happened over the last several generations. Children not taught humility, patience, fairness, compassion, forgiveness, hard work, responsibility and accountability will become rotten and rotten children make for great twisted and wicked adults. Some adults can change but if you want real change start with this next generation of young people, teach them the values the last several generations were deprived of.

I nearly identified as a transgender guy myself when I was younger. It somewhat similar to what the girl in this documentary said, in that I was in a certain internet space, and I felt that because I was pretty in the middle when in gender area, then I was probably trans because I didn’t feel like a girl. It wasn’t until after two or so weeks of serious reflection I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t a boy because I didn’t feel like a girl, I just didn’t care that I was a girl. That doesn’t mean I’m non-binary, it just means that being a girl doesn’t really affect me in any meaningful way, besides the knowledge of how to have kids in the future.

Sometimes the right answer when people are confused and ask what they should do is "I do not know, but I will be there for you as you endure it. Give it a little time." I very nearly lost my daughter because this culture's answers were newer, more immediate and shinier than that, which was my loving and honest answer. Fast forward ten years and now she is coming back around to herself, but it is a daily struggle for her. All they had to do was leave her the hell alone and let HER work it out. She was fourteen years old when all those answers started coming at her from 'expert' people who were supposed to help me nurture her. Not make her a poster child for their own agenda. What chance did her father have against an army of experts? I never left Earth, coodadz. I just had to watch as gravity quit working for someone I love.

As a parent that loves there child and only wants what's best you can't help it. You will try to pass on wisdom that you have learned by mistake you have made or accomplished. But in the end it often causes the opposite. One day your a super hero the next you become what they despise out of angst. There ego may even get the best of them and become competitive and view you as if your competition. All you want is them to be happy in life and suffer the least amount possible and be a better person in society and better parent than you. Every parent makes mistakes and if you can help to correct any mistakes your parents made on you making your offspring better for it you succeed. The world is changing too fast to quickly and I fear this is the result of so much being tossed at us before we have a chance to consider all the consequences. We live in a instant gratifications time and have become impatient on are choices and decisions. I think technology is evolving faster than we are thus causing a overload in are brains.... Unless, of course your parent is like a teacher or doctor that promotes the gender bender concept and authorized permanent surgical and medical interventions, that are so often found to be so psychologically damaging with regret and depression. The high rate of depression and suicide is not from the ridicule from others, it's from within the now permanently damaged teen, who suddenly realizes what a horrible mistake this was. What a sad feeling that must be, that your teachers and your doctors and maybe your parent too, didn't advise you that you might end up regretting taking their advice and now there is no going back easily.

@@destinixshakur it really is. And the saddest part is that a huge part of the Left thinks that by forcing everybody to coddle trans ideology that suicide rate will drop, but it will not. On the contrary, it will rise, because by making transsexuality “trendy” the number of naive youths that will start to transition without actually suffering from gender dysmorphia will increase, increasing the number of people attempting suicide due to the issues that dysphoria brings as well...

Yes. Tumblr is a shthole like no other. Everything about it forces 'white guilt' and other ludicrous ideas on young teens. Now it's just aggressive SJW ideas forced on kids and adults alike. But before they banned explicit content, the platform also had horrid stuff, such as bestiality videos, and apologists, who insisted that that's a perfectly normal way to bond with your pet. They promoted horrific animal abuse, and everyone was okay with that! I couldn't believe the level of depravity on that site. I had an art blog there, but I deleted my account after some sick content was suggested to me more than a few times. And if you disagree with some brain-dead SJW, you get swarmed by a deranged mob, who both attack your posts and harass you via private messages.

@@adolfolerito6744 I understand the anti-woke sentiment yeah, but it is to be known dysphoria does exist. The problem is it has depression as a comorbidity, and some parts of the public proceed to correlate it as "depression symptoms= trans". It's not unfortunately, even if the former can cause the later.

@@no3ironman11100 I’m not denying that dysphoria exists, far from it. I also believe that people who really suffer from dysphoria should have the freedom to do whatever they want with their lives (unlike the Putin bot that commented here above us). What I am completely against is forcing only one cherry picked opinion down the throat of the population, reducing every single “I don’t feel good with myself” situation to “you’re trans and must transition”, and hiding phenomena like detransitioning from the public because of ideological positions that don’t have anything to do with health. So I guess we mostly agree in the end :)

No teens should be "transitioning." There's a reason we don't let children make permanent decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.

This is often also about narcissistic parents who want to virtue signal to the world that they are woke. Of course there are sane, good parents who get blindsided also and the establishment is against them keeping their kids sane and healthy now. We truly live in the upside-down.

I began transitioning when I was under 10. 100% my choice and I’m over 30 now and have ZERO regrets and could never see myself detransitioning. This persons story is tragic, but she brought it on herself for attempting to use a mental disorder as a way to fit into her peer groups.
