It is a great man who uses his fame to help humanity!! Many celebs would be afraid for their careers. We need more brave men like Russell.

The metaphor about noticing and pointing out a house on fire was perfect. Russell never fails to impress me. I feel sorry for him sometimes as he is portrayed in the media as tilting at windmills when I feel he is doing an admirable job at what he is trying to accomplish. It is simple and straightforward to me. Just get involved in your own life and in the world around you in any way you can. It gives me inspiration and hope. And that is good. Thanks Russell. Peace.
Thanks to Russell for being an able, normal, vulnerable, feeling being, and communicating about it. He is doing something about what he cares about, not just being a talking head. I'm a mum, and I'm proud of him.

Yep, can't hate the lib in that one. Loads of common sense, a very quick retort style to ridiculous attacks, explains accurately and with honesty, and doesn't claim at all to have all the answers nor even ability to do anything much himself, and instead encourages others a lot, noting small actions have proven to add up to real change. I don't like the extremely risque side, however all the rest makes it tolerable. Definitely a fan. Love it when he interrupts and hammers one of the mainstream interviewers to bits, and they wind up smiling and giving in to the truth, utterly defeated, with their ingrained and trained shell of lies completely destroyed.

i was so moved when russell said that he wants his mother to be proud of him when he tries to make the world a better place. that he wants to do something with his life that his nan would be proud of.

"Think globally, act locally." The idea has been around a long time. The cool thing about Russel Brand is he's animating that idea.
When Russell Brand did the interview with this dude Paxman on BBC it was fire, especially at the end when you brought up his emotional reaction to his ancestors and talked about emotional porn. This guy is the voice of a generation, Im grateful he is speaking for us!
A truly down to earth and caring guy. Thanks Russell Brand.
Change is in the air. Supporting you Russ.
I think Russell Brand is a caring, passionate and introspective soul who sees the problems in the world and is trying to do his part to help mankind and its problems. When God asks him at the end of his life , "what have you done with your life my son .....", Im certain that he will have lots to say about how he tried to help. It is better to be part of the solution, than part of the problem. Don't judge a man by the mistakes he might have made, but by how he tried to fix them and even those that even he himself might not even be responsible for.

It’s done very intentionally in order to get the extra 70% info out of him in a 30 mins slot they would have otherwise missed if Russell was allowed to ‘answer’ the way Russell answers. I for one am pleased he was kept on task for a change.

Still a great interview. Watch other interviews, he has a million questions n only a certain time to get these questions in. Anyone who likes and appreciates Russell Brand knows he can go on n on if you let him. 👍🏻🙏🏼
The best thing Russell is advocating is changing your own life, and taking charge if it, rather than playing the victim and just drifting through life based on what you've been TRAINED to do.
love the comparison to John Lennon he would have been great friends with Russell they both are / were ahead of their times very forward thinking souls .
Russel got my full respect watching interveiws from him. He's a game changer.. thank you Russel💜
Unconditional compassion and equanimity is being introduced to a new generation thank you Mr. Brand for being who you are. I am so proud Amy Goodman interviewed you finally. Now I want you to meet Dr. Cornell West my favorite professor..
OK, I've been a fan of Russell for 6+ years and always believed in him, so it's no revelation that I loved him in this interview, but Geoff! I now have a bit of a crush on you as well. That bit at the end where you asked to cuddle him - that was precious! What a nice, intelligent guy. (Both of you.)

Best thing I've heard is that Prayer is when you ask for advice ...... meditation is when the answers come through.
I've been attempting to consume everything I can find on Russell Brand over the last few days, and I have to say that it's been so extremely relieving to finally hear someone speaking the truth about the trajectory of our society. He educates in a way that is not intimidating or exclusionary. I've ordered his book and am very much looking forward to reading it. This was a great interview, and the host was insightful and obviously does have great empathy for the the difficult war Russell is attempting to wage on our archaic political system and the transnational corporations which control it. It must be tiring, but I hope for nothing more than Russell to continue this quest. The only thing I found myself questioning when Russell spoke, is whether we really do need a a single heroic figure to rally behind, as well as a unified global movement. With the ecological destruction we're raining down, and the complete reliance of our minds on media for formulating opinions, I think a global movement initiated by someone with a feverish intellect and compassion for all people is exactly what we need. If it was dually grounded in the principals of separating money from politics and curbing the mass extinction engulfing the planet, our species just may find a path to an enjoyable sustainable existence.

This seems even better than the first time I saw it . Something's going on (in me ) : Maybe as I'm reading Russell's brilliant book and checking-out more and more of his vids I'm becoming more aware . Open to understanding the implications of what's being said and the possibilities that exist from moment to moment in my own life . This past year has been extremely positive for me , and that , I am sure , is very much to do with deciding to take Russell seriously , and listen to him . Thank you Russell - you've helped to revolutionize my life , and you've definitely made me happier . ♥

Way to go Russell, interview great and looking good. I need to get his book and read it.
I really like this interview. Russell is sharing his views, no drama. I think interviewer really did not need to go for the kiss in the end, it is as if he wanted to create that excess drama whose lack is what makes this interview great and special
your the Man ! Russell! when you talk i hear myself! and how i truly feel!!! love ya bro!!
Russell using his celebrity and fame for a greater good whatever the impact is a noble act.He is following a spiritual path and negative forces will try to get him off that path and these negative forces will work through negative people.Keep the faith Russell.Good will always triumph over evil.
I’m so glad Russel exists in this troubled time

Great talk Russell and Geoff - thanks!
one of my biggest pet peeves is when people say things like" are you okay, you look upset, ect....your eyes look tired??? Really? I mean really?????? why do people like to to be so awkward if something where wrong do you think saying that helps? no it makes it worse, you r insulting someone while trying to mask it with superficial concern for them, like he really gives a crap about whether Russell is okay or not, he just wants to put him on the spot to create some kind of drama from Russel because anyone with half a brain knows how patronizing that crap is!!
‘ One day at a time ‘ is a good approach for a whole range of things....addiction, getting over grief, depression. Tapping in to our power / rising above the desire for a Hero to do it for us. Not easy / but Best.
funny that everyone who disagrees with russell just calls him and idiot or says he talks out his ass. i have yet to see anyone truly break down and disprove what he has to say

This interviewer was a tad hard to tolerate for whatever reason but kudo's to Russell for not re-acting to his interruptions and over-zealous ways. Always a pleasure to listen to a genuine and generous human being. Keep speaking Russell Brand.
How can anyone not like this man? Such a decent, down to earth human being who genuinely cares about his cause. He preaches equality and that everyone should get along. Not a bad message is it?
He's absolutely right: we _don't_ hear about positive revolutions. "Revolution" should not be an incendiary word; it is, and shall always be, a call to hold systems to a higher standard.

I absolutely think he can and does get thru to others when he speaks to the common persons. I am a common woman ie person, and I’m totally on board with his message or his feelings and thoughts on what real people are struggling with and the need for change and a return to community and having a say in what your community wants to achieve and for all people to come together creatively solving their own problems and doing what they feel is right instead waiting or wanting the government to do that for them cause that’s not ever going to happen. the government is beyond corrupt. There’s no rational reason to trust politicians or governments...

Leaders are fine, in the sense of people who take the lead, show initiative, or break out of the mold. Russel is essentially a leader, we all can be in our own way, which is probably more of what he's actually advocating. Rulers on the other hand... they're a different thing. And I agree 100% with Russel, the last thing we need is for people (even like him) to step up into the existing model to try to control it. The problem is that humans can't rule humans, but we can co-operate.
I hear no lies. The business model idea is great.
Love You Russ.
thank you Russell Brand

Awesome ending.
Great guy
Russell Brand for the fucking win. Such a great interview. Well played!
yes i am changing things may the universise bless you
I think he genuinely is in a good place and simply wants to share that good with others. I think his vision of exposing the inequality is selfless as I also think every time he takes real life seriously, it actually takes away from his "comedian" persona, and that's his livelihood...so, why do people have a problem with one man doing something good because he knows he could make a little, positive difference...it's so easy to criticize those who put themselves out there, but I think people should ask themselves what they've contributed to humanity before they start trying to bring others who are showing action or at least trying. IE, "what have YOU done?"
He keeps interrupting Russell. Knob!
