@@ghostly81 its just spoken in more countries around the world. but that doesn't make it more or less important . Its rude to say that. No language is more or less important than another. They're all just languages... their importance depends on the individual.. how often you need ot use it, what your friends and family and speaking etc.

@@ghostly81 I think it actually depends on where you live. If you live in the Americas, then Spanish will be more useful for you than either Italian or French (except if you're in Canada). But if you live in Europe, learning French would be more important.

Volevo dirti, Lucrezia, che mio padre (un settantenne) ha iniziato a studiare l’italiano qualche mese fa e di recente ha scoperto il tuo canale. Ieri mi ha detto che ha trovato il tuo playlist per principianti e gli piace un sacco perché parli chiaramente e lentamente. In particolare, mi ha detto che gli piace il finale di questo video quando sottolinei “…è bene che voi li studiate *bene bene bene bene.*” 19:20 ☺️ Mi rende felice che i tuoi video stiano incoraggiando a mio padre nel suo percorso con l’italiano, quindi volevo ringraziarti.

Un ripasso che è sempre utile, soprattutto per i verbi più usati nel linguaggio quotidiano. L'uso del passato prossimo è molto simile in francese, quindi è abbastanza facile da ricordare e capire per me. Grazie maestra Lucrezia e buona sera a te.

something that occurred to me for the first time when watching this video, is that the reason these verbs are IRREGULAR is precisely because they are the most commonly used! DUH! somehow this never occurred to me before and it is a good way to think about it (I think). Why? because...the natural development of language would be to develop 'cut' (abbreviated or altered) forms of the most commonly used verbs. And once we understand this it takes away that frustration we may feel that these verbs have to be memorized to a greater degree than the ones that follow the rules all of the time. There is a piazza (or 'campo') in Venice that is formally "Campo di Santi Giovanni e Paulo" but the Venetians called it 'Campo Zanipolo." Same sort of idea and all languages develop these 'shorthands.'
