I've been doing some research on off the grid living, looking at yurts, tiny houses and checked out Fork Creek Cabins which were $80 thousand to low end $59 thousand which is a little too much for my pocket book. But the cabins were absolutely beautiful completely furnished fire places, granite, queen bed, beautiful cabinets and closets, washer/dryer, hot water heater, large screen tv's. Then, I saw this video while browsing KZread and heard the boy say Atglen. Wow,the town right next to me, a place that I have driven by plenty of times just thinking they sold storage barns. So, I took a tour of the Cabin, it seemed to be very nice and very well constructed and very sturdy. I asked the price of the smallest one with no appliances the salesman said, around $40 thousand and all their homes were coded for building and living in. Whereas, Fork Creek Cabins if you want to live in them you need to make sure your town or area you live allows you to live in them permanently. The Zook Cabins were much larger, not a modern looking as the other but very nice also.

Looks great! I live in France now but am from the USA. YT is not letting me share videos for some reason recently, but I will uprate this. Prefab and wood/log cabins are not much appreciated here. I don't know why, they all want stone and very thick walls. That seems kind of a waste, as the climate is so harsh in places, if you don't upkeep it all falls down anyway! This looks better planned and more comfy than many French houses! Hee hee hee hee!

+Ca Coast ..... The reason I said I need the extra room is because I'm handicapped... make bake goods for extra money ( wedding cakes, Thanksgiving and Christmas deserts). I also do wedding and funeral flowers). I have a son that might stay with me. I need a kitchen pantry with a nice island and double wall ovens. I also need room for a sleeper sofa and my rocker ecliner with a fireplace or pelett stove and some place to put a nice size TV .

What you are seeing here, Kyle, is that people do not like to feel like they're being "sold". They would much rather feel as if they are just being told about the cabin like a friend would do. Exactly. You can get a sales pitch once they get you interested in the product. I still haven't seen the product yet I know that if I contact this company I will get a second sales pitch to go along with the initial one and still won't see the cabin. Their are a few people on here that have a hard time accepting that the company made a poor decision in the creation of this video. It's as if they were trying to give this guy a 'platform' to prove himself, rather than making a video to sell their product. I feel no 'excite' to buy.

I wanted to see the cabin, too. The camera just stayed on the guy the whole time. He stood in front of the open closet door in the bedroom waving his arms at it. We never once got to see how large it was or what the bedroom even looked like. How did that sell this cabin ?

This cabin you see here all set up in probably $80K, not realistic for the off grid or dyi type of person. These are drop in the woods cabins for rich people....

Check out videos on "how to" build cabins and you still have to check with local folks to determine what permit is needed or not needed. There is a lot of information out there about DIY stuff. There was one where a lady built a house out of used scrap and lumber/supplies somebody else did not want. I wish I could remember he name. She had a blog too.

we looked at their website and this cabin runs about $60,000 for 469 square feet not including the site prep to put the place up. for that price you can buy a real modular home and at least triple the square footage and not have the ugly walls. Buying something like this is a waste of money. you could almost have a real cabin built for that price.

Drywall is 3x cheaper than pine board. I can get a 600sqft log siding cabin for $14,000 not finished inside. And wood floors are expencive. Vinyl floors are cheaper, and carpet.

Invisinak every okkne is jumping on the tiny home movement and it has pushed the prices up.. sadly these cabins and shed conversions were s hiiper cheap.. now you have to build it yourself in order to save

It's not logs. It's 6" log SIDING, so half logs are on the outside. Not so bad because it makes it easier to really insulate the inside, well.

Good job for the most part. How much and I'm in the market for my KY hunting area so the toilet and bathroom would be useless. So how about a place like that with two small bedrooms and a tiny kitchen with a living room. No plumbing or electric.
